Souvlaki Boys — Restaurant in Ontario

The large BBQ pork poutine was so small I thought it was a mistake. I ordered a large poutine for nearly 15 dollars to split with someone else, and it was smaller than a 5 dollar snack bar poutine from costco. Not to mention, the few giant pieces of pork that were on it were drier than the pieces of rawhide I feed my dog. It was like they found some old pork in the back of a fridge and cut it into 1 inch cubes and then just tossed it on top. Literally.

The meat on our beef gyro was very bland. It wasn't like it was under seasoned.. it was like it was not seasoned.. at all. And there wasn't nearly enough. Also, it was loaded up with the most faded, slimy, tasteless tomatoes I've ever seen. I literally could not believe how bad they looked. I buy a gyro that is 75% tomatoes, I expect them to at least be good. The onions looked and tasted like they were cut 14 hours earlier and left in the open for the entire day.

It was late and I was starving when I made the mistake of ordering from here. I wish I just went to bed instead.

The taste may be okay but the portions are smaller than a child's. I ordered 2 portions of what appears to be rice and sauce with very little gyro. They barely fed 1 . The owner is defensive in these google reviews but the truth is in their menu.

Dear owner, you can absolutely reply to this as you have with others review because criticism isn't something you accept well but you can't charge that much for the food you put out and then get insulted when people call you out on it. It's a food truck not a fancy restaurant with tapas. Get it together .

To the owners response, it's buy 1 get 1 and it still doesn't change the fact that your serving small portions fit for kids. I'm not sure what the "apparent deal" has to do with anything. If anything, it just keeps proving , that I overpaid. But...

Pricing is high for a souvlaki stand, and the food is mediocre. Pretty much only tastes good if you have been drinking and want something relatively quick. BUT it also still does take a bit to get your order which is super surprising for a late night food truck. Last few times I’ve been almost of my items have been cooked well over done, and the fries are horrible… I don’t think I will be returning unless it’s pretty much my only late night option that’s available. The staff are not overly friendly either… so the whole experience is not great. You are just happy to finally get your order. It sucks because I live around the corner and love a good souvlaki stand.
