Subway — Restaurant in Ontario

Very, very nasty owner. I stopped to purchase a school lunch for my kids. I asked for all of the meat on one half of the sub as one of my kids eats meat and the other does not. Would not allow my kids to split a foot long sub, I asked for bacon on my daughters sub and he wanted to then charge me as though it was a BLT sub. I told him I was willing to pay for the footlong roast beef with bacon price. He then went on a huge rant in front of my children saying that ‘he hated people like me’, ‘that I was a terrible mother’ ‘to f* off’. I asked him to calm down and stop swearing in front of my children. He then escalated and told me ‘it was his store and he could say wherever the f* he wanted’ he then said ‘I was a piece of s*’.

I am a female professional. tried to pay for the food by debit but was too scared and agitated and the transaction was not completed. I never raised my voice. I put the food on the counter and left without paying. My children witnessed all of this and left in tears. They told me they think I’m a wonderful mother and how dare he say something like that. He Also owns SUBWAY locations in LaSalle, and Lakeshore. I feel sorry for his staff as they have all been lovely and friendly. The owner came around the counter towards me still swearing and calling me names. I felt afraid for my safety. Will be filing a complaint with police. If there was a ZERO star rating I would have chosen that option....

I have so many complaints about this location. Every time I go, they never provide enough napkins and when I ask for more - they constantly sigh and make it seem like it’s coming out of their own pocket. The vegetables are never looking fresh (especially spinach) and have lots of ice residue visibile. The service is one of the worst. This comes to no surprise as every time I go here, there is no manager ever in the building with one employee working (usually in Highschool).

Tips to the Manager/Owner: Operate your sub shop with accountability followed by good customer service and adequate food quality. I’m sure You will start to notice an increase of customers.

This has to be the worst sub and experience I have ever had. Walking in the women behind the counter was rude. Acting like our being there was an inconvenience. She took the ham and slammed it on the sub, the lettuce was brown, onions looked like they were there for days, there was no crispy onions. When I got home to eat this terrible looking sub, the bread was hard it crumbled in my hands. I don’t recommend this place to anyone. I should have just walked out when the lady was severing me with such a terrible attitude.
