A week before the event, I ordered a platter of macarons and deluxe mini-cupcake box. Instead I got an assorted tray of desserts that I could have bought from Costco and the box of cupcakes. I expressed my displeasure that I got a mixed platter instead of a variety pack of macarons, and the response was " I assure you they are good" and "well for the next time..".
Putting aside our disagreement of when the desserts were going to be picked up, after I picked them up and while the event was already occurring, they called and texted asking if I still needed the desserts and whether they will be picked up. This solidified in my mind, that our earlier disagreement was on them. And it solidified in my mind that they forgot about my order and gave me whatever they had in abundance on a platter including 3 macarons.
In my one and ONLY experience with this company, they are completely disorganized. If you order anything from here - CHECK YOUR RECEIPT before you pay and ensure its accurate including what time you are coming to pick them up. Make sure you get it all in writing and bring the copy with you to the store. Better still, call them the day before and ensure you're all still on the same page otherwise you may get whatever they feel like serving you that day. I, on the other hand, will never order from this store again. There are enough local bake shops that carry the same thing and provide better customer service.
I cannot speak to the quality of the product as I didn't try it myself but I can confirm that the mini cupcakes were eaten. The conglomerate of pastries were not touched and went into the garbage once the event was done. Waste of $60. ...

Many times, for celebrations at church, we purchase cakes from large grocery suppliers. I wanted something special for this special milestone. I went about 'cup-cake tasting' and visited my local bakeshop, Sugar Spoon Bake Shop. I was thinking of regular-sized cupcakes. While discussing this with the shop owner, she suggested using mini-cupcakes, iced separately, but placed together, and iced with a huge 50 in the center. It was great & looked beautiful. A mix of chocolate and vanilla battered cupcakes. Originally, we had thought of a mix of white and chocolate icings. While creating the order, they decided that using all white icing had more pazazz, and made an executive order and made that change.
One of the great things about the cupcakes was that there was so little mess. No cake cutting, no cutlery, no icing covered knives and serving spatula. We were even able to return the 50th Anniversary dessert plates and napkins.
Easy to serve, and guests were able to choose how big of a serving - 1, 2, or 3 of the mini's and there was no waste as people were able to take just as much as they wanted.
And last, but not least, my husband just reiterated how delicious the cupcakes were!!!! He says that was the best part!!
All-in-all, choosing the mini-cupcake was about the best choice we could have made for our 50th Anniversary dessert. So happy with all the aspects; so happy working with the staff at Sugar...
Read moreAbsolute worst experience I’ve ever had at a bakery.
Tried to purchase 6 individual slices of pie that were previously packaged separately at 6.25 a piece, plus ) additional cupcakes.
I asked owner for a box and I would Rebox myself as I’m headed to a gathering. Keep in mind I’m her last customer of the day— so these cupcakes and key lime pie are going to either be sold tomorrow morning or thrown out.
She refused to let me purchase the single pieces of pie at FULL PRICE and put them in a box saying I could not use her counter for that.
Honestly, I’ve been going to Italia Bakery for years and now I know why. What awful service. I wouldn’t enter that establishment if you paid me too. The owner was awful and I’m so...
