Was SOOOO stoked to get food from this restaurant after reading the reviews - after a near $100 delivery, all I can say is - DISGUSTED, DISAPPOINTED, AND DISSATISFIED. YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELVES. People eat with their eyes first, and what we saw when we opened our containers left us reeling. We specifically requested that ALL TOPPINGS for the food be placed on the side, as it had to travel in a vehicle. This request was not adhered to IN ANY MANNER. We ordered: a steak and 3 eggs meal, a waffle supreme, a supreme homefry poutine, a coffee, an orange juice and a side of hollandaise. Steak order encompassed - med rare cook - came to us overwell done, rubbery and hard. Homefries - literally about 20 pieces that were soggy on the outside and hard on the inside. Eggs - only received 2, not 3 (the yolks give you away - theyre easy to count!) and were bad... the colour of the yolk is SOOO off and the taste was as well. Waffle order encompassed - 2 sides of whipped cream on the side and a mini bottle of nutella. The winners decided to put COLD whipped cream in a plastic container with NO LID on a HOT waffle - anyone need to do the math here?! What resulted was a soggy, inedible mess that even my garbage-eating labrador wouldnt touch. The nutella was just not sent at all - I guess even though it was a part of the meal, I didnt need the item I paid for... The Supreme Homefry Poutine was SOOO congeled, it is barely recognizable. Last time I checked, a request of ALL TOPPINGS on the side means ALL - not just what you assume.. The orange juice was TWICE the cost of the coffee, and yet is the same sized cup... Thankfukly, Door Dash is a reputable company that recognized the GROSS errors made by this restaurant and have compensated me thusly. So buyers beware!!!! This restaurant may take your request into consideration in person, but not for delivery.

This place is incredible! It's only ten minutes away from the main tourist area, which is reflected in both the cost and quality of the food. They serve an all day menu, which makes it a great brunch spot. I had an original stack of pancakes, and there is an option to upgrade to 100% pure Canadian syrup. DO IT. It's only a few dollars extra, and it's worth every single cent! Everything was delicious, but the biggest star, by far, was the Sunset Breakfast Poutine with "home fries, Canadian style bacon, cheddar cheese, topped with Hollandaise sauce." O. M. G. You get a huge portion for the table, and even if you're stuffed you'll keep eating it because you won't want to leave any behind. Probably the best thing I ate during my trip to Niagara Falls. Our server Marta was absolutely lovely, and gave us tips on where to buy good maple syrup. Sunset Grill also has effective Covid safety measures in place, and I felt comfortable the entire time I visited. If I could give this place a hundred million stars, I would! I’m unable to share food pictures because we were rabidly digging in before it even occurred to me to pick up the phone.

I’m a steak and eggs kinda gal okay… BUT the steak was bland, smelled funny and kinda tough but oddly, crumbled in your mouth. We had requested medium rare and received them well done. I understand it is a breakfast spot so the focus on quality steaks may be absent but $63 for two meals and two coffees was by far, too much….as you can see by my photo. I wish I could say the coffee was good but it too, was not, at all. Because water is life, I will say the water tasted super clean and was refreshing! They were busy, half capacity and it did feel squished. You can see people struggling to remain close to the tables to avoid hitting the person behind them! The staff were very kind and welcoming. The wait time was none at all and the restaurant was very clean! You can also see the cooks preparing the meals from your table which is neat! This was our first time here so maybe it could be better on another day!

I’ve been to a sunset grill in Toronto before and thought it was decent. This one has been open for some time now, but for whatever reason I have not eaten here until today. It was probably the worst experience I have ever had at a breakfast spot in London Ontario, ever. We waited about an hour for our food to arrive. After we had placed our order, we watched as 3 different groups of people came, sat, ate, paid their bill and left while we still were waiting for our order. 2 gentleman were seated close by to us and one of them made a comment to us about how they were surprised that we were still waiting, as he even noticed that they had arrived after us and ordered their meal after us. They had finished their meal and were paying while we were still waiting for ours. At this point i was Irritated because my 1 and half year old was starting to get fussy in the restaurant but I was still willing to give the restaurant the benefit of the doubt. When our meal came both waitresses working were very unapologetic about the situation and the one had mentioned that the two gentlemen seated close by had paid for our meals. My husband and I appreciated the kindness but were upset that they did that because the situation was not their fault. Upon leaving I expressed to one of the waitresses that I did not feel the gentleman needed to do that as it was not their fault and she replied back saying “yes, they are nice, they come here all the time and felt bad for you guys” I said I understand but it wasn’t their fault and she replied “yes, it was no one’s fault” I was confused as to why she had kept trying to shove this narrative down my throat as it wasn’t the first time she expressed it was no one’s fault. The other waitress also chimed in to agree that It was no one’s fault and that she felt that I was trying to put the blame on them when there was no one to blame. I have never been so confused by a situation in my entire life. I had no intention of making a big issue out of a delayed meal but these two waitresses were so unapologetic for having had us wait so long for our meal. 3 other tables who arrived after us and ordered after us received theirs no problem, but according to these two ladies the kitchen was “backed up” and it was just “no one’s fault”. Not once did anyone come to our table to reassure us or let us know our meals would be taking longer then normal, when the meals did come out, there was no awareness of apology for the delay. We had also asked for 2 glasses of water at the start of our order and 3 more times after that before we finally received it to only be given one glass. The fact they even allowed those two men to pay for our meal under the notion that the men felt bad only shows how unaccountable these two waitresses were. I just did not understand why two complete strangers felt bad but the restaurant serving us, did not. I did not expect or did not feel entitled to have the restaurant compensate in anyway. I just was so confused on why there was just absolutely no acknowledgement. I have never left a review for any type of business before, but this just...

We went on a Sunday morning around 10am, it wasn't too busy so we were happy for that. We had never been here before, so I asked for a booth and the hostess said sure. There were no booths in the entire place, so no big deal, but she could have said so. Whatever, it's not a huge deal. The server comes (we have no idea who, she didn't tell us her name), we order 2 waters, a coffee, and a glass of milk. Simple. But it took her 8 minutes of walking around at a glacial pace before we got our drinks. When I say glacial, I mean they could have been going backwards. Every single person was moving at this lackadaisical speed. Even the cooks. She seemed so dazed, like she had never gotten someone coffee and milk before. It was irritating. Then the food came. My better half had the peameal and eggs with potatoes and toast; I had the "French Connection" with bacon. We got our eggs scrambled and they were the blandest eggs we have ever had. There was absolutely no flavour whatsoever. The potatoes were the same. Are these people scared of salt, pepper, garlic, paprika, parsley??? The peameal was "fine", my bacon was half undercooked and half overcooked, and WAY too salty. The coffee was watered down, the glasses were dirty, and the napkins actually felt like fine sandpaper. But the French toast, I was so looking forward to! And boy was I disappointed. It was just eggy bread. No vanilla. No cinnamon. Come on guys, get some flavour in your food! We honestly can never return to this "restaurant". We were so disappointed in the service, the food, it was just a nightmare. There's a first, and last, for everything. We cannot return until they stop being scared...
