Nestled amidst the serene beauty of Lake on the Mountain, The Inn at Lake on the Mountain offers not only breathtaking views but also an unforgettable culinary experience. My recent visit to this charming establishment left me thoroughly impressed, and I am delighted to share my review.
First and foremost, let's talk about the food – it was nothing short of incredible. Each dish was a masterpiece, skillfully crafted to tantalize the taste buds and leave a lasting impression. From the appetizers to the desserts, every bite was a revelation of flavors and textures. The menu boasts a delightful variety catering to diverse palates.
However, what truly elevated my dining experience was the impeccable service provided by our server, Olivia. Her professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail were exemplary. Throughout the meal, she ensured that we were well taken care of, anticipating our needs with grace and efficiency.
We opted to dine on the patio, which we had all to ourselves. The view of the lake was simply breathtaking, adding an extra layer of magic to our dining experience. The tranquil ambiance of the patio, coupled with the picturesque scenery, created a truly unforgettable atmosphere.
The cozy interior of the inn also exuded a rustic elegance, complementing the overall charm of the experience. Whether enjoying a romantic dinner for two or gathering with friends and family, the atmosphere will provide a memorable dining experience.
In conclusion, my visit to The Inn at Lake on the Mountain was nothing short of delightful. The combination of exceptional food, attentive service, and picturesque setting makes it a must-visit destination for any food enthusiast. I highly recommend The Inn at Lake on the Mountain to anyone looking to indulge in a culinary journey that is sure to leave a...
Read moreI'm giving this a 2 due to an incident that was handled inappropriately. View - excellent, Wait time - none, Food and beverages - very good Service - friendly and efficient...until... we were seated promptly and then brought our drink orders. Within a few minutes, my husband placed his hand on the corner of the table and the table top flipped off the base - drinks flew - my wineglass literally through the air and glass everywhere. My husband had a lap full of beer. Much to our surprise we had to ASK for a new table. No one came to the table to ask if we were okay, they cleaned up the glass and wiped down the table and our waiter, Ryan, asked us if we wanted a "refill" after we moved to an adjacent table. Shortly after, a few employees removed the broken table after looking under it to see (I assume) the same thing we did which was that the base/top connection was rotted out. All good (even with soaked clothing) until our bill arrived and my husband asked why we were charged for the drinks that spilled. Our waiter's response "a thousand other people sat at that table and there was nothing wrong with it". Really ? I responded that we did not bring along screwdrivers to deliberately dismantle the table to get our drinks replaced (which all were still 90% full). We had not done anything other than touch (not leaned on. Touched) the corner of the table when the entire top flipped. Fortunately before 4 plates of food arrived. After the waiter went back and "discussed with the manager" our bill WAS adjusted.. However, a disappointing end to an otherwise enjoyable meal as we were basically accused of ? I don't know ? Being customers 1000+ at a...
Read moreFood and service (wait staff) were excellent but management stained the entire experience. We were a family of 7 with a reservation for 11 am for lunch on Wednesday, July 26. Four of us had our leftover coffees from Lily’s Cafe in Picton to finish off before lunch. I asked the hostess/waitress if it was ok for us to bring them in and there was no problem. Either it was the manager or owner sitting at a nearby table who, within about 10 minutes who very I kindly told us “You cannot bring outside drinks here. This is a restaurant.”, quite loudly in front of other patrons. She was very rude and made us feel unwelcome, and frankly, we felt there was racism/discrimination implied (most of us are Asian). We could not truly enjoy the experience, despite the excellent food and service. We understand many establishments don’t allow outside food/drink, but there’s a way to communicate this in a polite and respectful way. Also, bringing in almost-finished coffees does not prevent us from spending a lot of money on alcohol and food. We had intended to try the beer but was so upset we decided against it out of spite. We still ordered a lot of food, which was excellent. It’s the next day and we’re still feeling triggered by the experience. I could not recommend this restaurant unless something changes with management. One additional issue is that the high-chairs for babies/toddlers are unusable. There’s no bar to hold the baby within so the child can easily slip off the seat and end up on the ground, so they are very unsafe and we were not able to use them for the baby we...
