I went through the drive-through at this Tim Hortons around noon and ordered an apple fritter. It was my first time trying one since I recently discovered I wasn’t allergic (I have a serious egg allergy). When I bit into what I thought was an apple fritter, I quickly realized it was a honey cruller—something that contains egg. My boyfriend, who was driving, noticed it, but by then I was already experiencing an allergic reaction.
When I brought this to the staff’s attention, they admitted they had no apple fritters left and decided to give me a honey cruller without informing me. I asked for milk to help manage my reaction (which they provided), and they offered to refund the donut, but no one apologized for this life-threatening mistake.
My allergic reaction lasted about an hour, and I didn’t have my EpiPen with me, making this an incredibly scary experience. Allergies are serious, and substitutions like this should never happen without asking the customer.
If you have allergies or expect to get what you ordered, I strongly recommend avoiding this location. Their handling of allergies is careless and...
Read moreIf I could give a lower star I would this store is absolutely horrid probably one of the worst ones in Chatham, we went there around 230 for Boston cream 12 pack and a coffee. When I got to my destination and everyone got there doughnut not 1 had Venetian cream in them. I call the store to speak to a manager and seeing the time of day I was expecting Her to be there ( I’ll get to her later) come to find out that there was no manager and or supervisor on shift. I got nothing but attitude from the staff which took 30 mins to fill my order and then this so after fighting with this employee on the phone for 20 mins to get the doughnuts fixed she finally agree to give me my product. Back to the manager she needs to be fired I have been in the Tim Hortons industry for over 15 years and have never met a person like that mean as a snake doesn’t train nor work in the store anytime you go there she is always done for the day or come out with a piss poor attitude. Head office will be my next call until something is done with this train...
Read moreI don't know who franchises this restaurant, or why they think it can survive on a handful of crumbs and a single staff member, but they should be ashamed of themselves.
Every single time I have gone to this tim Hortons, I am greeted by 1-2 staff members who are incredibly kind and considerate, but they are drowning. They are absolutely understaffed. They are usually out of most common baked goods. Customers are furious and either leaving when they see the empty baked goods displays, or they're loudly complaining with each other or at the employees. Again, the employees are clearly working as hard as possible, there just aren't enough of them.
Whoever runs this place, you are understaffing your restaurant and subjecting your employees to inhumane working conditions. Hire more staff. Pay them a fair wage.
I'll be going out of my way to find out who owns this location and if they own other locations in the area so that I can blacklist them on my...
