Stopped by Upfront Café during the downtown Belleville Christmas event, and I have to say — the owner is one of the kindest people I’ve met. She had a beautiful holiday craft activity set up, and you could tell she was doing it straight from the heart. We only paid $15 to make a gorgeous Christmas wreath… honestly, I don’t even think she made anything off it. She just wanted people to enjoy the experience and feel the spirit of the season.

Read moreStopped by for a coffee and unfortunately, it was really not good — bitter, burnt, and just off in taste. I didn’t want to make a scene, so I quietly left. The staff member actually came after me to ask if we didn’t like the coffee, and when I politely said “No, we didn’t,” she just replied with “Whatever.”
