Windsor Cake Emporium — Restaurant in Ontario

I decided to stop by for my birthday, I saw the reviews and pictures and was very excited to try these cupcakes. Got 6 different flavours, not one of them was eaten fully. We ate them within an hour of picking up and they were SO dry and essentially inedible. The flavours were not very present, it’s the same cake base for all cupcakes but different toppings, and the cake was bland and dry. Barely any filling in the few that had fillings. Beautiful cake but dry, dense and not flavourful. Very dense and dry. Not moist and not fluffy. Icing is hard and shortening tasting. 5 stars for decoration but 0 for the flavour and the actual cake. Sugar wise it is a nice amount but the other flavours were barely there.They need to work on the batter of their cake. You know it's bad when you have a difficult time slicing the cake. Not worth the price unless you only want a pretty cake to look at. Cake should at least be soft and fluffy....

Called and emailed since last Thursday to order a special cake and refuse to answer their phone during business hours. Sent an email. No response on the email although their answering machine says they will get back in 24 hours. Decided to call again and leave a voicemail. No response.
