Me and my daughter had a really fun time at 67 annual fishing derby … the volunteers that work the event were great …. Unfortunately, when we got to the club for the banquet, me and my daughter were standing at the bar, purchasing drinks and chips. Spending money in there club and I could hear Two old boomers Complain about the event that their club was putting on that it was a waste of their money … It really upset me because I’m trying to teach my daughter how to be a respectful sportsman and after we were done fishing, the derby we cleaned up the riverfront so we actually contribute to the sport … I think some of the older generation really needs to give their head a shake and start teaching the youth and stop criticizing. Read moreThe band was amazing, they never had a cook so nothing to eat but hotdogs and potato chips. Was surprised to find out the band plays for free and they come around the tables with a tip jar . That was surprising since they did a fabulous job of entertaining the crowd. Although not to many ppl there which was another surprise because the band was so good. The Sportmen's Club had gotten back to us by noon that day with a spot available, allowed us to bring in outside food in order to feed our guests, and they were just amazing.
