It probably might be my last visit here. The service is disappointing, to say the least. I chose to dine in today, and things were fine when I got my order.
The person who took my order was done for the day and left a while afterward, which is understandable. When I was waiting for my order, the server was asking me how would I prefer my order packaged? To which I responded, "I'm dining in. Did it not say that on the receipt?" They fixed up my order accordingly and had half of what I ordered on the table.
I waited for my other half of the order, thinking it might take a while. It was a beverage, by the way. Waited a while, didn't come by. When I finished my food, it still wasn't there. I thought I didn't order it, but I checked my receipt, and it was there. I walked up to the counter asking, "Hey, I ordered [said beverage], and I want to know how that's going?" To which I got a response of, "Oh, sorry, I forgot about that?" To which I was offered the beverage in a takeout cup and a straw. Lid had no area as to where I could insert the straw. The server's attitude made me feel like they wanted me to leave. I left heavily disappointed.
I would totally take that excuse if it was busy and many customers needed to be catered, but neither of that happened. It was empty, no other customers came since I've ordered, and it was known that the server was talking with their co-worker and was talking about while I was waiting for my beverage. I genuinely have no problem with that it doesn't hurt to have a talk with other employees.
It would be appreciated if the servers could make sure their customers got everything of what they ordered and make sure if they were catered accordingly to what the reciept mentions. I had a copy and it tells the server if the customer is ordering for here or to go.
Food was great but I was not impressed with the...
Read moreWe had tried to call ahead to ask if they had a patio but the call didn’t go through because the Rogers outage. Arrived at 6:40pm when website/google said it closed at 9pm. We asked if they had a patio and they said yes. Staff informed us they could only take cash due to the Rogers outage, which was fine. They then said they were closing in 20 minutes (7pm) because the Rogers outage causing cash-only. I asked if they could still take the order and they said yes. They didn’t have the breakfast skillet or cinnamon buns available. We ordered, paid cash and went to the patio. When I went inside to get serviettes as they were making the food, they said there’s only 8 more minutes they’re open so it’s takeout. Having worked in customer service, I expected them to lock the door to prevent more customers coming in after 7pm but still finish serving the existing customers in the establishment before cleaning up and leaving to close. That is how any customer service job I have worked has treated customers. If they weren’t willing to stay, they should have informed us at the time of ordering that it would be take-out only and we could have decided to go elsewhere to dine in.
When I found out they wouldn’t let us dine in, I asked for a refund. After a few minutes, the employee said she didn’t know how to do the refund and the manager wasn’t answering. I told her okay, we will just do takeout. Very very poor customer service.
The food itself was not great, not sure if it was because they were rushing to make the food so staff could leave. “Garlic bread” seemed pretty much just like toasted bread with butter, the French fries were a bit burned on the outside but not cooked enough on the inside and...
Read moreMy husband and I live in brooklin and are both vegetarians , we were extremely happy when copperbranch opened thinking that we could finally have a restaurant that was a go to . Over the past several months we have visited a number of times including a visit with our neighbors what we have found to be consistent is , we have been unable to eat together because of inconsistent timing with the preparation. This evening I brought my granddaughter to dinner to spend some time with her over a meal when I arrived and placed my order the staff seemed to be quite distracted with there own personal issues after waiting more then 20 minutes my granddaughters meal was ready , we sat down together she had finished her meal over the course of 15 minutes I then went up to the counter to find my meal had not yet been started the excuses where we had phone orders. At the time the restaurant was not at full capacity. At this point I was ready to get my money back and leave , they insisted they could prepair the meal quickly and take it to go I did take my meal to go . I had asked for a recipe earlier and was told It would be brought to me at my table and it wasent , I didn’t remember I have not received the receipt until I got home. When I arrived home I found the sweet potatoe and broccoli and onions raw and the meal eneatible. At this point i would be interested in hearing back from the owner I would hope for change rather then excuses to a paying customer because at this point it’s very unlikely we would be returning to copperbranch or recommending it to friends and family...
