Burger Factory — Restaurant in Oshawa

The owner/manager of this location is exactly what has been missing for too long in the restaurant industry but especially the fast food industry.

We ordered a daily burger special which on Wednesday is a Cheese Burger... made it a combo with fries and added jalapeño poppers on the side.

We also added funnel cake with strawberry sauce and ice cream but then decided against the ice cream for some silly reason.

When I got my food the owner asked if he should make the funnel cake now or wait so it would be at its freshest when I was actually ready to eat it after dinner.

Very thoughtful. (Most places couldn't even care less if my food was hot when they serve it to me)

My meal came without fries so I asked about it and while the cashier was explaining the confusion and said that I wasnt charged for fries...

the manager/owner interrupted and simply said... you need fries? No problem... Give me 2 minutes. Lol. Perfect service. No added charge.

Soon after he asks if we would like ice cream with the funnel cake because it is much nicer with ice cream... we say yes ok thank you.

Not charged for this either... he just couldn't stand the thought of us experiencing his funnel cake without Ice cream. Lol

He asks if I would like anything special with my fries.. maybe some ketchup and spicy sauce... I say ok thank you just to try something different.

He brings it all out to the table which is great but he's also very genuinely happy to be serving us... he clearly enjoys his job/business and takes the meaning of service industry seriously.

When he had a free moment he came out and asked everyone at each table how their food was...again Genuine Interested! Not just going through the motions.

This is what's missing from restaurants everywhere!

I eat out a lot... everywhere from a simple McDonald's to the Keg and Restaurant 360 at the top of the CN tower.

This Burger Factory Genuinely Impressed me as much as any restaurant anywhere. This guy puts other Burger chains and many restaurants to shame with his great food, service and attitude. Don't waste your time, money and calories anywhere else. Lol.

You will be treated as a highly valued customer here and that's always a great feeling. Spending your money somewhere like this will always make spending it a little less painful because the experience is just that much better! True value.

Burger Factory is a super cool spot in the city. They make amazing burgers that taste like a dream. The burgers are made with fresh and top-notch ingredients. And there's someone special here, Mandeep. He's the star of the staff. Mandeep is the friendliest and most helpful employee you'll meet. He pays attention to every detail and wants to make sure you have an awesome time.

Worst experience. I tried the burger factory out for the first time, I was craving Funnel cake so decided to give them a try.

First and foremost it cost $20!!! The funnel cake itself is $9.99 & each topping including ice cream is $3.49. So I was expecting some top tier funnel cake but instead I got some burnt dough, 3scoops of ice cream and artificial strawberry sauce from a can! My 7 year old said it looked like “Jam” nothing was good about it at all. It didn’t even taste good. Not to mention they had us waiting for 30 minutes, and when asked why it was taking so long the girl at the counter stated that she had to wait for the fryer to get to the right temperature. This could have been mentioned prior to me paying as 30 minutes is a ridiculous amount of time to be waiting. Despite being patient and understanding we continued waiting. When I got home and opened it, I was extremely disappointment, to see what I just wasted all of that money on. For something I could have literally just made at home myself.

Because of that unfortunately I will never want to try the food here because it just makes me wonder how much more worse that experience could be. Lesson learned, I’ll stick to the Dspot next time, I’m craving...
