McDonald's — Restaurant in Oshawa

Hit and miss for me. First time I came here was just several days ago, 2nd day it opened I think. Anyways I came out nearly vomitting later that night, not sure if it was the food quality or the fat causing the reflux( I did hear something about E Coli in the quarter pounder or onions 2 months ago in the states, so it was at the back of my head). This is from mcvalue meal + cheeseburger. Today is probably a week it opens and had 2 big Mac. Seems ok so far. Come Jan 6 to 19 will suck to order with their grand opening deal unless we can order those deal without cashier at those electronic kiosks. Did buy a hundred bucks worth of gift card to make use of at that time. Another initial impression I got was maybe this was perhaps at the lower end cost of the MCD franchise, still in the million+. I see the self serve ketchup but no napkins yet? Definitely no self serve drinks, at least not yet for now. Don't like the traffic flow for drive through either, looks bothersome with the roundabout and only one path into the plaza group I think. Other place I've been to had 2 paths or more to get into the restaurants, so this is disadvantage vs those MCD this my guess for the lower end cost. Possible they will be relying more heavy on local and walk-in traffic with all the homes and condos nearby. Anyways it is new so I gotta give them time to bring it up to standards. I will definitely visit many times more despite my initial and current visit. 2 stars for first, 4 stars for second. Horrible location, placed an online order and it said it was collected I called the store spoke to the manager he said it’s happening to all the people ordering by mobile okay fine. Get to the window no one obviously knows what I’m talking about, I ordered a drink but forgot in the moment as so much was happening. Even though I ASKED them is there a drink with my order. I got home looked at the receipt saw I did order a drink went back for a second time told them I picked up my mobile already and they forgot my drink I drove up to the first window I said im waiting for my missing item he says so you didn’t order closes the sliding door??? I know it’s hard to be polite when working the drive thru. Get to next window and the manager I dealt with earlier handed my drink which was WRONG!! He knew it was wrong and proceed to hand me the drink anyways. I said it’s not right he says weeeellll we are backed up so it’ll take a while to make you your iced coffee. So your solution is to give me a black iced coffee instead??? Because pressing cream and pumping syrup is too much for you??? If I could give zero stars, I would. This McDonald’s location is a complete joke. The staff were slow, clueless, and unbelievably disrespectful from start to finish. I tried to redeem my 15,000 points — points I earned through constant visits — and they actually redeemed them off my account, then turned around and said it “didn’t work on their end.” So now my points are gone, and they either expected me to pay for the food again or just walk away hungry.

When I tell you I was stunned — I mean speechless. How do you take someone’s points, offer no fix, and act like it’s no big deal? Completely unacceptable.

And just when I thought it couldn’t get worse, I get to the next window and, of course, they forgot my Mac sauce. I went back to ask for it, and they handed me the most pathetically tiny, disrespectful amount imaginable — like they were doing me some kind of favor.
