Wild Wing — Restaurant in Oshawa

Was there last week and the service was a joke. The bartender was extremely unprofessional with us and the other patrons. She was unable to remember our order that she took via memory, came back with a pad of paper only to end up serving us food that wasn’t ordered in the first place.

Took another chance last night with a night out with my family – bad decision. The restaurant was empty other than a person at the bar and two tables of parties of two each. We were sat down, food/drinks ordered and were not attended to for refills or anything else after the order was taken. A party of six were sat behind us 30minutes after we were. Watching servers have chats, the cook not even in the kitchen hanging out at the bar area with the servers – a great social environment for the workers while customers are left there drinks empty with no food on the table. An hour goes by after food ordered and out comes a server with food for the party of 6 behind us – the ones sat 30 min after we were. Finally our food comes to our table fries stale and cold… sent back. Take a bite from the wings… cold. This wasn’t a fine steak, this wasn’t a rack of lamb… this was fries and wings ordered from a wing establishment. You would expect nothing but the greatest thing from the one product you specialize in. Sorry – class of service, quality of service, quality of food is disgusting. To make your customer wait there for now over an hour only to serve others who were seated well after you? Let alone finally serving my entire family cold food – cold chicken at that (major health concern) and expect us to wait even longer for a new order after being there for well over an hour as it is? NO… no thank you… we walked out… wasted our evening, left us annoyed, frustrated and disgusted at the quality of service and food. I expected much better from a franchised establishment.

If I could rate this place a negative rating for their lack of service and food I would... personally rating them a 1 star is too much of...

The restaurant itself has not been updated since I think it was renovated at least a decade ago. All of the benches are cracked, and the tables have a residual. Our server, although pleasant was More involved with her cell phone and checking in on our table which included myself my husband and our two kids. The only other patrons in the facility were another family. I ordered the buffalo chicken sandwich, which stated that it came with cheddar cheese, but when I received the order, it was a Kraft single slice that was literally falling off the sandwich because wet lettuce was placed on top of it. The deep fried pickles and my sandwich had an odd taste almost like it was fried in old oil. I had ordered a side salad with balsamic Dressing the server had asked if I’d like it tossed I said sure that sounds great thank you. What I received was literally lettuce, swimming in balsamic dressing and incredibly stale croutons on top. When she came by about halfway through the meal, I had indicated that I was not happy with the meal and explained why she stared and smiled at me as though I was lying the entire time, even though I had barely touched either item. At this point, I said I did not want it being remade because my family was almost done their meals. She came back at the end and asked if we wanted refills even though my drink had been empty almost the entire time we were Actually eating. My husband then received the bill to see that they literally took 10% off my meal which accounted for about two dollars. Such a disappointing experience as we used to love going to the wild wing in bowmanville. To start there was one person at the bar and one party of two sitting at a booth when we arrived. The server was nice and had mentioned she was new (later overheard her saying it was her third shift to another couple as she was correcting an error with their order). We ordered a Diet Pepsi and a white sangria. The wings came out before my wife’s sangria which was just white wine in a lipstick stained glass - not hers. Eventually my wife was brought a sangria which was predominantly grapefruit juice and no fruit (the server was apologetic saying she was sorry, she was still learning how to make drinks soshe was the sole waitress and bartender for the whole restaurant which now had welcomed several patrons it was wing night after all). Half way through I noticed two wings were undercooked (my wife later found one undercooked). We informed the waitress and she told the cook. The cook response was that the meat was just “bruised”. We asked the waitress to take the wings back so that the cook could have a look at them. This took 7 minutes 5 of which my wings were sitting on the bar. The cook still maintained the wings were properly cook offered to have 2 wings recooked to make up for this. Not considering the time my food was sitting on the bar getting cold. We were offered no napkins or wet wipes - on wing night this is absurd and had to unwrap cutlery to wipe our hand as the waitress was now avoiding us.
