Wish I could leave a lower rating - we both had the single worst dining experience in our lives, no exaggeration.
The environment was really nice, decor, etc. The server must have been brand new and didn't speak much English, the first few mistakes were funny, but after pretty much getting everything wrong, we were left with a very unpleasant service experience.
The owner was not much help and she didn't seem to have any customer service etiquette at all. She couldn't even say what type of wines they had.
The food arrived and we dug in excitingly but to our disappointment we noticed some of the main ingredients advertised were not present in the dishes. Also there was no flavour and nothing tasted fresh. Although we were hungry, we seriously could not eat it. Perhaps because we were vegan and they had to improvise, but still. The sauce was watery and tasted like something out of a can.
The coconut rice had no coconut, so we asked the waitress to check, she came back with the same dish and didn't say anything, so we asked for confirmation if it was coconut rice, she said yes. We tasted it and were sure they had forgotten to add some sort of cheap pina colada syrup to it, which was now added. Still no coconut.
Upon embarrassingly communicating we weren't very happy, the owner proceeded to blame us and saying we must not like they way she cooks, she took it all personally and even after paying, she started yelling at us and threaten to call to cops when we suggested we shouldn't have paid for the dishes we didn't eat.
She didn't offer to make something else, deduct off the bill, or generally make us happy in any way, shape or form. No exaggeration, we had never seen or experienced anything like this. We are adults in our 40's with plenty of international dining experience. And got left with a hefty bill, terrible service, horrible food that we could not eat, and being yelled at...

Since it is a super small place and other customers were sitting around us, we didn't want to make you feel uncomfortable and embarrassed by giving bad comments in front of other customers. That's how we were so nice to you even your food were not even closed to the minimum standards.even two of our group members got food poisoned just after we left your place and suffered until next morning. And the next thing is As the owner of the restaurant it is so mean that you force your customers to tip your self with big bucks giving a lower standard service and foods. It is totally up to the customer to decide how much tip to be given or not to be given at all depending on the satisfaction level.Even having that kind of a bad experience we made sure to tip you. But you raised your voice in front of other customers asking more money as a tip. embarrassing your customers is totally not acceptable in a quality and standard restaurant environment.you should learn the customer service and care as well as thai cooking from level zero. Seems like you have forgot and lost everything from your mind that what have you learnt in your hotel school or whatever by the time passed. Be nice and honest to your business and to your customers who helps you to pay your bills and keep your business running. It is just a little advice . Use it or loose...
Read moreWOW! I can't say enough great things about this restaurant! It was one night away from the kids on our vacation and we wanted to go somewhere different that we don't get back home. We wanted a local restaurant and something unique! This place did not disappoint!
We made reservations but got there early and they welcomed us in to the Patio to start with drinks before the cooks arrived. We would been more than happy to wait but they insisted that we come in. This was one of the owners. She was a delight. We went to the patio and it was beautiful. This place was off main street and the patio backs onto some residential land but the way they had it covered in grape vines and a beautiful pergola, you wouldn't know!
We started off with the Crispy Wontons with a local plum sauce. This was just enough to get your palate watering for more excitement of what's to come for the main dishes.
We had a Chicken Stir Fry with coconut rice and a Yellow Curry with Chicken (Thai Hot). We were both blown away by how amazing and fragrant the flavors were. Made fresh in the kitchen with real ingredients. You can tell this food was made with love! You can tell the owners take great pride in what they serve! She even came out with some fresh Roti right off the pan and said to try it with the Curry. WOW! To die for!
Thank you for both the amazing service and food. This is definitely one of our go to spots when we come back into town.
