This was one my worst experiences at Cora to date. I understand that certain businesses are understaffed and client service can be impacted. I really do get that and I'm usually very very patient. That's also why I try and continue to support my local restaurants but based on today's experience I will not go back (at least to this specific location). I usually take guests to Cora but will seriously rethink it. It was busy, fine that is expected on a Saturday morning BUT busy, plus long wait time to get a table (there were open tables just not enough clean ones), plus long wait time for food (we were warned that ok.... But then why is cold when at finally arrived... Felt like I needed to put my potatoes in the microwave, plus poor service (no check in by waitress so I couldn't even reheat my food, no coffee refill, no condiments for bread, no check in at all, no sugar on the table - yes it wasn't even refilled.. Well it's ok as I didn't get a refill for coffee so not needed... ) plus a private event which increased noise levels and the servers just allowed the guest to walk between tables and shout over tables to another as they take photos.... Then at the end after this ordeal. I wanted to give the manager feedback on my experience - he/she was too busy. Maybe a perfect storm of events, but its the last time this branch...
Read moreI was very disappointed with my breakfast yesterday at Cora. I think that the world yes is getting more expensive but that should not as well include quality. If you are going to raise the pricing then why decrease the quality and quantity of the product. I ordered a banana hazelnut crep off the kids menu for my daughter. She wanted extra strawberries. Asked the waitress how much would that be, she said an extra $2.50 and I said ok that fine. Also go toast and eggs added. When I received my bill I saw a charge for exotic fruit on the bill for 5.75. She indicated that was the strawberries. I told her you said 2.50 and she said nope I guess I wasn’t right. I was so disappointed For a number of reasons 1. What she quoted me was double plus some 2. The strawberries were frozen strawberries not even fresh 3. My daughter opened to eat the fruit out only for us to notice the strawberries was only on the edges of the crepe. I would have said whatever but after paying 4.50 for small smoothies and all the extra cost and her getting my son’s order wrong I was disappointed. I will not be returning. I have never felt more disappointed in a meal because of just the lack of communication...
Read moreTerrible! This Alta Vista location, along with all the other Cora's locations in town it seems, have REALLY gone for a sh*t in recent years! Are they all owned by the same franchisee? I wonder. Everything that could have gone wrong DID! We arrived about 9:30, our presence was not even acknowledged for at LEAST 20 min.. With 4 tables of customers and 2 servers on duty, (and the 2 servers passing by our table constantly), there's no excuse for that. I have allergies to certain fruits, which I made the server very well aware of, and yet when our breakfasts arrived, (almost 30 MIN. LATER, I have no idea what took THAT long), mine had some of the fruits that I am allergic to on the plate. The sausages were barely cooked, after I made sure when ordering to ask for them to be VERY well done. The crepe was wrong, after 3 attempts at getting it right, it just wasn't to be. Nice colorful menus and cheesy presentation are poor substitutes for good food quality and proper customer service. I would give this review 0 stars if that...
