We went for dinner at Bite Burger House last night and will definitely return. The atmosphere is really nice - it’s nicely decorated, good music that isn’t too loud, and the lighting is nice and soft. There were lots of local beers on tap for $7-$8 a pint. None of the beers had descriptions though, so you have to pick based on the name alone.
The menu was really nice - it is SO NICE to see multiple vegetarian options!
We started with the truffle fries, and oh wow, they were to die for! I’m a ketchup lover - I put ketchup on everything. Fries without ketchup? Me? Never (not before now, anyway!). But these truffle fries with Parmesan were so good on their own I’d never dream of putting ketchup on them. The sauce that came with them was excellent.
We both ordered the Mac and cheese. When it first came out, it was room temperature - but we mentioned it to our server and right away she apologized and got it fixed up. It was really good - amazing comfort food. The portion was a little small compared to other restaurants’ dishes, but it was only $10. Just keep in mind you might want to order an appetizer if you order the Mac and cheese!
Our server (Kelliann?) was wonderful, she was very friendly and helpful and made us feel really welcome, like we were friends! The manager(/owner?) was very visible, constantly walking around, but didn’t stop by to introduce herself and see how everything was, even after we had mentioned to our server that our food was cold. It’s the little things like that that can really make a place special - especially on an opening night, when every person walking through the door is a potential regular. But I understand opening night is busy!
Overall, we were really happy with our experience and will definitely be returning soon to try more of the menu! We’ve been looking for a good cozy spot for nights when we don’t feel like cooking or take out - this...
Read moreFirst Time at Bite Burger House — Orleans' Hidden Gem
Been living in Orleans for 17 years, and somehow never made it to Bite Burger House — tucked away in what’s got to be the worst restaurant location in town. You know the spot… the forgotten end of a strip mall parking lot, hidden from street view. Every restaurant that landed here before was a total hidden gem, and this one? No different. Another literal hidden gem. Show them some love and give them a try — here’s why.
Staff & Service Friendly, engaging, and genuinely proud of the food they serve. These folks know they’ve got something good, and it shows. No hesitation dropping a tip here — they’ve earned it.
Atmosphere It’s a small venue, L-shaped around the bar, kitchen, and tap room. A little tight? Sure — but it works. Bonus: 18 beers on tap. And not just fillers — some solid local brews worth exploring. Try one... or eighteen. (Just maybe not in one night. I’m not your mom, but still.)
The Food It’s a burger joint — but it’s not just a burger joint. They’ve got:
Mac & Cheese
Fish & Chips
A few stacked sandwiches
Mac & Cheese Thick, creamy, flavorful — like they stole my recipe and perfected it. Bowl of comfort done right.
Identity Crisis Burger Beef + pulled pork + espresso BBQ sauce = insane flavor bomb. They nailed it.
Swiss Mushroom Melt (wife’s pick) She devoured it — and when something disappears that fast, you know it hit the spot.
The Fries Listen, we’ve all had fries. These? These are next-level. Perfectly cooked, perfectly seasoned. Fries alone are worth coming back for.
Final Word Orleans’ latest hidden gem is tucked in the last place you'd expect — but it's packing some serious flavor, charm, and pride. Make dinner plans. Bring a friend. Tell your neighbors. Let’s not lose another...
Read moreThis is the best burger and wing place ever, and the service is on par with the food. I have been going to this restaurant since 2020. To give you an idea, I live about 45min to 1h away, and whenever my wife and I crave a burger, we always go there, no exception. We went to this place Saturday, June 12th, at around 4 pm. My wife and I started off with our usual wings. Covered in a homemade batter made of buttermilk and cornflakes with an assortment of seasonings. These wings are the best in the ottawa gatineau region. Always tender, and served with a wide array of homemade sauces, the BBQ espresso sauce, and Korean sauce are to die for. When we received our burgers we, didn't have time to take a picture. The smell was so enticing, and the look was so appetizing that I forgot I was supposed to take a picture for this review. My wife had the "Big Blue" a burger served with aioli and blue cheese (High-quality bleu cheese). I had the "Pig's Squeal" a Chili flake encrusted pork belly with banana peppers, some perfectly smoked bacon, brie and Korean sauce. I don't think the burger lasted more than 5min before I devoured it. Lastly, we had their seasonal dessert, and I am so glad they brought it back. It is ice cream fried in their dessert version of the cornflake and buttermilk batter served with whip cream and drizzles of caramel. It is a light and refreshing dessert, the perfect choice to finish a good meal. The servers there are friendly, kind and professional. I never had a bad service, and I never...
