Metro — Local services in Ottawa

I walked into this place and immediately felt welcomed. It had the smell of awesomeness in the air and the employees helped that smell manifest itself. Not only did I find little pieces of greatness in aisle 3, I found myself with a pretty great feeling... a feeling found only in the 3rd aisle of metro on tenth line. Horrible customer service. I came in to the hot food section to get a smoked meat sandwich. Lady grabs a small slice of cheese slaps it on the counter with no paper or anything on the counter. Then puts the bread on the counter (dirty unsanitary surface) and goes to get the smoked meat. Comes back and proceeds to cut the small piece of cheese into quarters. I asked for another slice of cheese as the cheese wouldn’t even cover half the bread. Was rudely told no so I left. As people and a society we need to do better. Came in...

Went there recently and gathered all my items in my basket... went to pay and saw that all the cash registers were closed with the exception of your lame self-checkouts. There was a line up to get to them while three staff member were standing there idle supervising clients scanning their groceries instead of opening a register. Unacceptable! I don't work for Metro and I don't use these stupid self-checkouts. So I pushed my cart aside with everything in it and left. BTW...half the items I needed were...
