Update.. it’s now April 16 No response to repeated calls. the owner Nick responded to my update and asked me to call… we have called three times and left two messages.. no return call now the voice mail says the box is full…. Obviously Nick. Is NOT interested in discussing the serious issues at his restaurant.
Friday March 18 2022 Breakfast with a biz pal, the coffee was provided a couple of times. Once the food finally arrived, we did not see the waitress again for ages. Both plates were stone cold. The hashbrowns were cold and tasteless and the eggs drowning in grease. I rye toast was buttered, barely and I was told there was no marmalade. Only options jam or peanut butter... when we tried to ask for the bill my companion mentioned the coldness of the breakfast and her soggy English muffin and was immediately accused of complaining on her previous trip. (she did not) see last years review below.
After the belligerence with my companion the waitress left without giving my time to tell her about my breakfast and show her the grease etc., She was so annoyed with the initial complaint.. she took forever to bring the check and gave my companion a 35% discount and then stood at my shoulder watching me intently as I tried to privately enter my pin for my debit card... She told me if I was unhappy not to tip her... I simply wanted some privacy.. NOT sure what changed as this whole experience was bad from food to exiting. There are many breakfast restaurants in Orleans and we will be frequenting those instead.

Read moreCaution, awful service. I went to Eggspress yesterday with my family. We were a group of 2 adults and 4 kids and 1 infant. The young hostess counted heads and chose a place that would fit us. Right as we’re about to figure out seating placements, an older, shorter blond ‘Karen’ lady rushed to us and began repeating ‘I’m sorry you can’t sit here’ shaking her head in disappointment, over and again. We sort of looked at each other confused but waited for further instructions on where else to sit. We looked at the hostess who initially seated us for some guidance and she just mouthed out the words ‘I’m so sorry’’. We got the point that we were not wanted so we collected the kids and headed out for the door. We looked back and there were a group of servers and other staff huddled at the counter looking at us leave. Not one single person with any modicum of decency or the most fundamental customer service sincerely apologized for the incident, regretted the incident, offered us another place to sit. It was such a humiliating experience and we were left trying to figure out what was it about us that deserved such an experience. We could think of a few things but want to bring this to their attention.
I called today and asked to speak to a manager and explain very briefly that it was about yesterdays incident and the manager said ‘’I’ll call her back towards the end of my shift.’’ They seem to forget that customers run local businesses and that literally leaving us to ‘the end of your shift’ tell me exactly what I need to know. Read moreWe were at this restaurant today at 9am and very disappointed with the experience we had here today. The young lady who ushered us in and got us seated on the left side as soon as ee walked in, was polite and smiley as always.
The server who attended us came with an attitude ( can't tell If she's racist or not) she was abit older, Caucasian and had her hair backwards in a loosed ponytail. I had requested for the bill and she went away for quite sometime singing happy birthday for another customer. When she was done I saw her standing around the kitchen entrance and I tried to catch her eye multiple times and waved the invoice she brought to our table earlier to catch her attention to bring the POS machine for us to pay and leave. When she finally saw me waving she frowned and yelled "what is it? Can you not give me a minute? " in a very angry tone. You don't treat nobody like that. We are adults and not your kids. If you are having a bad day , stay at home! Or get some people management skills. I have been to this restaurantduring a more busier time and didn't have this experience because this server has never attended to us. The server did not deserve the 15% tip.I shouldn't have tipped at all. Not coming back here ever again.
On top of this whole event my fries were very salty and small, Omelette was bland. The food looked good but tasted awful. Took the rest home for compost.
