Poutinerie La Belle Province — Restaurant in Ottawa

Terrible service. The lady who took my order got it wrong, then after we explained it (and thought it was fixed, and paid extra for the difference) we find out it was wrong AGAIN. When brought up we were told we would have to pay the difference AGAIN. When said we wouldn't pay again because we already paid (and there's no way that we should still be owing). The people behind the counter got extremely rude. Took our food and refused to give it back (we've paid I'm pretty sure you can't do that). THEN they tried to call the cops on us stating that we were being rude and agressive towards them. Finally when asked if we wanted the food or money back we stated the money, and the guy behind the counter said "I don't have to give it to you" like then why even offer? You shouldn't have held our food from us in the first place after it was paid for! Terrible service, rude staff, and overpriced food. Also this isn't the only review about them being rude after they get your order wrong. Apparently things don't change much. Also the lack of gloves when handing food and money together is seriously disturbing......

Atmosphere Was Bad Went in Around Dinner time and as you walk in you just feel smothered with the peoples kids screaming and running the front cash is so crowded with people waiting for food people grabbing ketchup forks salt pepper anything and then people ordering it feels so cluttered. Service was bad you get to the counter and they are speaking to you in a mumbly low voice clearly annoyed by your presence, then when we ordered our food mind you no one was behind us in line when we ordered they still messed up and gave our food to other customers that came in and ordered the same thing but after us and we had to wait an extra 5-10 minutes to get our food. Then when we finally got the food it tasted like candy everything was so sweet tasting, the fries weren’t salty more like a sugary taste the gravy was like water and there was barely any on the poutine and the cheese curds if you could even call them that more like cheese chunks were cold. The pogo i had ordered also had a sugary taste. All in all Will never come here again and Warn others too not waste your money on this...

AVOID. Good poutine but poor service. I’ve ordered from them a few times and usually pretty good, with full portions. Today I ordered a large poutine and instead of the container being pretty full as usual, when I got home I noticed it was only 1/2 to 2/3 full. Thinking it was perhaps an error or perhaps they had been busy, I called the restaurant, only to be told by “Gaby” there wasn’t much they could do as no manager was available, and maybe next time check to make sure my order was full before leaving the store. I asked if she had any suggestions - she said simply no, it was too bad but there was nothing she can do. Was not asking for miracles, but at least an offer to speak to the manager tomorrow would have been appreciated. Not a huge issue but at this point why should I pay full price for a large ($17) and only get a medium’s worth? Less upset with the error and more that “Gaby” couldn’t care less about customer service or attempting to make a simple...
