We just visited The Fat Sisters food truck in Ottawa, and it was a total treat! We ordered their Iraqi wraps and Mama’s Dolma, and everything tasted like it came straight from a loving home kitchen.
The Mama’s Dolma was especially impressive — perfectly wrapped, and full of flavour. It struck the perfect balance: not too sweet, salty, spicy, or sour — just deeply savoury and comforting. You can truly tell it’s homemade with care.
Their falafels were another highlight — crispy and tender, wrapped in their special Iraqi bread with a drizzle of their top-notch Amba sauce and a touch of tabbouleh. An incredible combo!
They are so welcoming and so sweet! Wishing them all the best in their journey — I’ll definitely be ordering again and again. Since I live downtown, I might not stop by as often, but I’ll keep ordering from the fat sisters...
Read moreHad dinner tonight with my partner at Fat Sisters Falafel, and honestly, it was hands down the best falafel I've had in the city. We both went with the Syrian wrap and it was packed with flavour, super fresh, and the sauce they used was so delicious.
We also tried the falafel bites and I highly recommend grabbing those if you stop by. They were fried to perfection, crispy and on the outside soft and flavourful on the inside and came with a really tasty dip on the side.
Overall, we were super impressed and already talking about going back. If you're in the mood for some good falafel, this spot is absolutely worth...
Read moreIt was good but I wish they put more sauce. Felt the wraps were dry at times, which is a common issue with falafel wraps. Please consider this!
Falafels were nicely cooked - personally didn’t like the Iraqi one because of the cucumber, next time I’d ask for the samoon with Syrian toppings.
Also, I got to try their hot sauce. Which I wasn’t the biggest fan of - I think those who like franks red might but i think it’s good to ask that question before giving.
Great place, will definitely come back to support Muslim family...
