I wanted to share our experience from last weekend when we ordered two Onam Sadhyas. Unfortunately, we were quite disappointed, especially on such an auspicious occasion. Here are a few points we would like to highlight: 1. Portion Size:The container sizes, particularly for the curries, were quite small. It seemed like they were about 2 oz or 4 oz, and they weren't even filled completely. Given the price, we were expecting more generous portions. 2. Temperature of the Food: The food was served cold, as if it had just been taken out of the fridge. We understand that preparing food in advance for such large orders can be challenging, and it's normal for it to not be hot. However, receiving it ice-cold was a big letdown. 3. Quantity:The portion of payasam was so small that we didn’t get a chance to fully enjoy it. We even asked if we could purchase additional containers, but we were told that wasn’t an option, which was disappointing. 4. Value for Money: At $26 per Sadhya (plus tax), we paid nearly $60 for a meal that neither filled our stomachs nor brought the joy we were hoping for. We understand that pricing can vary, but for this amount, we expected larger portions and a better experience overall. We really hope this feedback can help improve future Sadhyas, especially for such significant festivals where people are looking forward to a hearty meal. We are happy to support and pay for the quality and quantity that justifies the price, but unfortunately, this time, it felt like we didn’t get good value for the money spent. Thank you for taking the time to consider our feedback, and we hope for a better experience next time. Sincerely,

I ordered mutton korma. I was surprised to see that they have used the smallest container I have ever seen an Indian restaurant use to pack a curry. Even that small container they didn't want to fill with sufficient food. I compared with the other take out containers (from other restaurants) in my pantry to be sure. There weren't enough mutton pieces in it for one person also. They cut the mutton into extremely small pieces to trick the customer into thinking they've been given more pieces. It's heartbreaking and pathetic to see an Indian restaurant doing this to it's customers. The dish was unusually cold when it arrived. I reheated it in the microwave. Once heated, the curry tasted alright. Don't bother wasting money here. There are many Indian restaurants popping up in and around Ottawa. Spend your money where the business does the bare minimum of providing sufficient food to its customers for the price they pay.

I spent 160+ $. Very bad food. I have added the pics here. Parotta looks like naan and tastes like something I have never eaten. Egg puffs looks like a road roller went over it. Vada taste like dosa batter. Chilli Gobi looks like gobi dipped in tomato sauce and oil. I don’t think their is a chef at all. Some one might be cooking randomly. We wasted all the money and food. Sorry for the harsh comments, but it is 100% true and I feel cheated. The people who made it definitely knew this was bad especially looking at that parotta. Still they decided to cheat. Don’t know why you would put food you don’t know to make in the menu. Thanks for spoiling our day. Except for an avg chicken curry, we literally had to throw everything else in garbage and make food at late night

I came to this restraunt cause i was ready to try new store who are providing indian foods, came here on may 14/2024 nearly at 2 pm and had asked 8 porotta butter chicken , beef curry and a mutton biriyani, spend around 90$ expecting good and clean food but my expectation was let down when i saw the food, the porotta had hair in it and when i showed it to them they gave me a replacement but acted as if it was my fault, and apatt from that the biriyani they had served was undercooked and was not edible to eat at all. And what surprised me the most was the prices on the menu and the prices they had showed me it was more than ridiculous. The price on the menu is less than what they actually charge, i was surprised when they were billing me. The thing which concerns me is the hygiene. The pricing can be let gone but the hygine is something which should be taken as a big concern cause nobody wants to get sick seriously due to some other peoples negligence. I would recommend people to go see some other restraunt or to check the food when ordered from here. Thank you and hope you...

I have to say this gem from South Asia is hard to find and might be out of reach but I highly recommend the food here as the flavor profile is exotic and differentiates itself from the usual Indian food places with butter chicken. This is real South Asian food and the flavors are delicious and exotic. I am a big fan of their Sambar and Malabar Paratha. It is a doughty based bread that is made similar style as a crossiant in terms of layers but this is ancient food from India so it's unique and delicious. They are also generous in their portions and I personally prefer the non veg menu items but they have a huge menu list. I have met the owner and his beautiful wife and they work really hard to please their customers and she cooks delicious food all the time so she is really experienced chef! Eating in space is small but I recommend at least eating at the tables at least once to get the really fresh food in your plates and enjoy the savory flavors of South India....
