The meeting of the brothers took place today. The last time I was here was five years ago and what a difference! Completely accessible with clean and spacious washrooms. The food was very good and both of us were quite happy with the size and quality. Beer was a tad pricey with the bill for lunch hitting $150 including the tip... that's four glasses of beer... the upgrade from fries to onion rings was $5.00. Service was a little on the sketchy side ... not overly busy but left to our own devices on two occasions. Had to ask for beers. We were the only two inside and I asked for the music to be turned down as the blaring was quite distracting ... perhaps the large patio needed the internal amps? Parking was tight right at the entrance but the mall is a few steps away.

A great spot for beer and whiskey lovers as they have more than 100 beers available and 150 whiskeys! An extensive menu ensures something for everyone including vegetarian options. Their huge patio can accommodate at least a hundred guests with seating for almost 20 at their outdoor bar. Nightly taco specials are amazing. Some of the patio seating was in disrepair but they weren’t needed. They may not have a great desert menu but you’ll probably be too full from the generous portions. Cameron, our waiter was on point… very attentive, knowledgeable and offering great choices. If you like excellent beer choices and great food, and being outdoors, you have to come sit on their patio to enjoy all the offerings.

Greenfield’s has been around for decades. I remember coming here 20+ years ago. Somewhat recently, it appears as though they recently stepped up the menu quite a bit. As a family, we ordered an array of different items. The salad and burgers were particularly good. The outside patio was beautiful with flowers planted in pots all around. Interior is well finished with a stage to host live music. The service was a bit slow – we ate here for lunch on a summer Monday around noon (just a few other customers were there at the time) and it took about 40 minutes to get our food after we had placed our orders. Quite a long wait given the circumstances, but the food was decent.

Dont come here, it might get busy and you wont get your food, go somewhere else on days the restaurant looks busy. My father and I came in to eat here today, arrived at 6:30. It took around 10 minutes for our server to see us and about 10 minutes for our drinks but It's understandable as the place was really busy and the server was very kind. We ordered our food by my own account after we got the drinks at 6:50ish but it was 7:37 and after complaining the manager came and spoke with us. He said "the order was placed 32 minutes ago, its busy and your the number 3 order right now", I gave the benefit of the doubt and maybe it was 32 minutes I could be wrong I will mention there was no apology and I suspected strongly that this was a lie. I asked how much longer the food would take explaining that we were very hungry and had been at the restaurant for a very long time (6:30), the response was "no more than 10 minutes". 10 minutes later we complained again and said we had not received our food yet and that we would be leaving soon. By 7:57 20 minutes after speaking with the manager we let staff know we were leaving. The manager notices and noticeably and rudely points us out the door with his hand. No apology from the manager. I work in a restaurant I know how long it takes to make a burger when the restaurant is completely full the answer is not an hour and I have never reviewed or been to a restaurant in the city where this occured to me at this level while eating out around twice per week. for reference we have eaten here over a dozen times over the years going back to when John was still the owner, and its usually pretty good but we wont be...

Barrhaven's original pub is always busy. I've been here several times with groups of 6-8 and their large tables are accommodating. Their patio is also nice and spacious. The service has always been very good and friendly. The food however, IMHO is not as good as it has been a couple of years ago. Eg my last visit I ordered the pulled pork sandwich with a fennel cabbage slaw on the side, plus fries. There was a generous amount of meat, although nothing special about its taste as it lacked any smokiness. Granted this is not a smoke-house type of restaurant, so I don't know for sure if this is made in house or supplied from outside. The disappointment was the slaw, although it was a side, it was just a pile of shredded red cabbage. Nothing near what I expected. And the fries tasted over done (old oil perhaps?), with lots of small pieces. Even my friend that ordered the sweet potato fries noted the quality was poor. It's these little things that show the quality is not there as it used to be, and you can't make it up by serving a huge pile of fires or serve overly large dishes. I must say though that their pub burgers looked excellent and would recommend sticking with that. Finally have to comment on their house beer which is still $5-8 a pint. They do not operate a brewery on site, instead their house ales are brewed by a supplier and they taste good. Stick to the burger and beer, enjoy the patio or the atmosphere indoors and their wonderful servers. Reservations available online, quick and easy. Sorry, no...

This place was recommended to us by the person we were house-sitting for. I can see why. This place has a great indoor space and outdoor space, and on a hot day it was nice to be inside for a bit. Looks like they probably do some concerts since they have a nice stage set up in the back. Servers were really friendly getting us situated with our daughter and the wagon we use to transport her around. Very family friendly as we saw several other parents with strollers as well. Nice menu and a lot of good beer options. Opted to try their radler and it was delicious, before I remembered I'm not supposed to have grapefruit. The waitress was quick to get me a replacement Guinness. The food came out pretty quick. My wife got the Tuna Poke Wonton, which came out deconstructed I guess... actually ended up working out pretty well. It was quite good, but the poke wasn't nearly as fresh as what we are used to in California. My chicken burger was delicious, the cranberry and brie on it made me feel like thanksgiving. It was really hearty and heavy for a chicken burger, but worth it! The highlight might be the kids menu though. The kids can pick from 4 items Poutine, Fish & Chips, Burger & Fries, or Mac n Cheese. But, it comes with a drink and dessert. Clearly our daughter was on cloud 9 getting chocolate milk and ice cream included in her meal. Her poutine was quite good too, not too salty, nice gravy flavor and melty curds. If you're in the area this is a great stop for food or...
