A very small Chinese spot located in a pretty office-y and industrial area. There's I think 2 or 3 booths available for dine in so space is very limited, however we ordered for takeout. It was a one man show, and it seemed to be the previous owner/chef of the old Harmony working that night. He advised us there would be a wait as he had other orders and a table to serve, but we didn't mind. Really friendly man despite my language barrier with him as I speak zero Mandarin or Cantonese 😂. We ordered the cumin lamb and the sauteed green beans and both of them had quite a kick. I would say it was a little on the salty side but we enjoyed it nonetheless. The food was piping hot and I found the portions to be good for the price. I appreciated how he showed us the dishes as he packed them up so we knew what we were getting. I'm hoping to come back soon and try more dishes, especially from the non-photo,...
Read moreI never have a chance to taste the food. They said they close at 9:00. First time, I called in advance around 7:30 and they said they do not take dine in any more. Ok fine, this time I came 6:30 and they told me they could not let people dine in anymore. Anyway, will not come back again. I don’t know why they open for business. Lol So now as owner said, they had fully booked at a Tuesday night. No one explained to me when I walked in. They just said they don’t take dining in anymore. I did ask it was only 6:30 and why. Guess what they said? “No, call us before next time. “Maybe just marked as reservation only for dining. Still not recommend at all if you want to come to eat a regular dining time at a regular day. They are always full booked. Good luck to anyone want to walk in and...
Read moreSimply the greatest hidden gem in Ottawa if you’re visiting and staying nearby to the airport. The owner/chef is a wonderful and sincere gentleman who’s so proud of his amazing dishes. Every order and every dish is made to order, so do not expect a quick takeout but I assure you that the wait is definitely worth it! It helps if you are able to read the Chinese menu as the selection is wide and authentic. Otherwise, you could possibly tell the chef what you enjoy and he’ll probably be able to make suggestions.
The cumin lamb, honey pork ribs, and especially the mayonnaise shrimp are to die for. The aubergine is also out of this would. I would probably skip the fried noodles though as it wasn’t what I was expecting.
I would visit Ottawa just...
