I understand that this is a personal experience and that’s why I’m going to share mine. My church was there for me without even knowing me, I got introduced to my church during pandemic, there was no in person services at that time, I went there once pre Covid but never went back, then during pandemic someone kept calling me, actually they were two, they were checking on me, literally just asking how I’m doing and how my days are going, believe me this was in pandemic they didn’t even know that if I’ll ever come to church or contribute to church at all, I wasn’t even part of e services but that girl kept checking on me regardless, And believe me when I say that most of the days they reached out was those days when I was feeling pretty low and needed just a word of encouragement or get to chat with someone just normal things, People will have motives on why doing certain things but I know that those guys that reached out wasn’t expecting anything in return, all I know is that they spread love and it made a huge impact in my life and I made a promise that whenever I get a chance I’ll always try to make someone feel loved and make sure to always give a hand and help next one in line when I can.
what I learnt from them was more than just being in church but more of being a human. When things went back to normal I started going to mychurch in person but not for a long time as I had to live town but I will never forget how they helped me get closer to God again.
Little did I know that I was about to live and I needed to meet them so they could draw me back to God as I was about to step a season of my life of growth and challenges but more than ever now I understand why I had to be part of mychurch at that certain time.
Mychurch is a family church, I never felt excluded or lost cause there was always someone there to help you.
Mychurch was my family at that point of my life, they made me feel loved and included, I’ll always make sure to spread love to others.
And guys let’s always remember that instead of going to church thinking of what you will get from there maybe try to think what you can do to help, contribute something to church, help in all ways you...
Read moreHere's a few steps you can take if you're considering joining myChurch and want to be truly accepted.
Look the part. If you dress the same way the leaders do, you'll have a better chance to be accepted.
Act the part. Put on that smile even if you're having a horrible day. You've got a church to represent!
Do anything you're asked, without question. You're doing this for the greater good so if they say jump, you say how high.
Serve, serve, serve. Even if you've got a funeral to attend, serve instead. Remember, this is for the greater good.
Never get sick/tired. You don't need to rest if you're close enough with Jesus.
Have thick skin. You'll need it when their goal is to tear you down so they can build you back up.
Support the freedom convoy. The leaders are very clear they love the anti-vaccine freedom convoy that has come to Ottawa. You support events where swastika flags show up, right?
Grace. We all love it, and boy do the pastors. Just remember, the pastors can treat you as poorly as they want because God's Grace forgives them of all their sin.
Sign the legal documents. Once some leaders get high enough, they may be forced to sign an NDA to not share their experiences with the public. Make sure to sign that!
If you follow some of these tips then maybe, just maybe you'll be accepted at myChurch.
All jokes aside, there are many better churches in Ottawa that truly love Jesus and aren't blinded by their far too ambitious goals.
MyChurch thinks they're doing well by spreading Jesus to as many people as they can, but in reality they're hurting far more members than they're helping. Unfortunately, they're too focused on their goal to spread Jesus to people that they overlook loving the people who have already joined their ranks and I don't think that's something Jesus would agree with.
Unfortunately I have to give this church 1 star for their abuse. I just hope one day the leaders claim accountability for how they've been treating people instead of hiding behind their...
Read moreIf you are looking for a church in Ottawa, BEWARE! They are nothing more than a cult, making volunteers endure inhumane amounts of hours of work per week without sleep or food & encouraging people to leave their jobs to do so. They prey on young people, and those new to the city. They guilt people into giving more than they can financially, and for what? They don’t even own their own building? So it’s pretty obvious where the money is going….I mean you can tell just by looking at the “Pastors” in their designer clothes and million dollar house. I use the term “pastors” lightly for many reasons including that true pastors are called to be “humble servants of the lord” of which these two certainly are not. Their sermons are full of feel-good sayings and heresy. The Bible is not a “feel-good” book, as it teaches that we are all born sinful and need both the law and gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ in order to sustain us and that it is through the Holy Spirit alone that we are saved. Also, the name “MyChurch” should be an immediate red flag, as any church that claims to be anyone’s other than the House of the Lord is not doctrinally sound. They worship sin, plain and simple. I pray for all those still involved, and congratulate those who have been able to get out...
