Harvey's — Restaurant in Ottawa

The staff was rude, inattentive, inappropriate and demeaning. when we arrived there were four staff chatting with each other we asked if this is where we are supposed to order and they pointed to the cash we stood at the cash for several minutes and no one came to help us. then when finally someone did get someone to take her order he kind of laughed about not being there, and then messed up my order I ordered a kid's Hot Dog meal and got a hamburger meal. The people in the line behind us also had a messed up order, and when that was Express the staff left at them as well.. our concerns when stated were just laughed at, it was very demeaning and unprofessional. and on another note, the sign to the restaurant was not on we actually drove by and had to go back, when we asked them if the sign was out of order they indicated they forgot to turn it on and did not notice that the sign had been off. It was not a good experience at all. we will definitely not be back to this location and and we would hope that someone would address these issues at...

We had one of the worst dining experiences at this Harvey’s location. When we arrived to dine in, we noticed that almost every table was wobbly and unstable. We tried several before finally sitting at one, but suddenly all of the water spilled over, soaking my husband’s pants and even our sandwiches. We had to move to another table, which was already frustrating enough. To make matters worse, an employee came over to check the table we had been sitting at, then came to us and very rudely asked, “Are you the ones who dropped water on the floor?” My husband tried to explain what really happened and asked to speak with the manager. To our surprise, she claimed to be both the manager and the owner. Instead of listening or showing any empathy, she was extremely rude and dismissive. This is absolutely unacceptable customer service. A manager or owner should know how to treat guests respectfully and handle problems properly. Been there a few times over the last year and the service is slow with staff that don't look at all happy, i.e at the drive through. You can even hear slight irritation over the speaker. It hasn't really bothered me until today... The lady said something over the speaker and I simply asked 'pardon me?' and she replied in a curt and rude way 'just give me a second please ok?' I almost drove off but stayed. Then I ordered the crispy wrap....This is what has led me to write this review. We all know and can make a basic wrap...simply put it's 'rolled' over a set of ingredients- meant to be easily handheld. What they did is take all the vegetables, chicken and sauce, dump it on a wrap, crumple it up. You can't tell until unfortunately, you sit somewhere, open it up and .... I tried to re-wrap it but it was already messy. I wanted to go back, but I'd already driven far - the gas and anger wouldn't be worth it financially.
