KFC — Restaurant in Ottawa

We have used the KFC app several times, and it's unfortunate that the deliveries come from this location. We have answered the satisfaction survey afterwards, and receive the standard room temperature popcorn chicken with the next order as an "apology" but nothing improves! They are short on cutlery, napkins, consistently get the sauces wrong, and they got a confirmed diet pepsi wrong too. They sent a pepsi stuffed in a small bag with two correct barbecue sauces, two (wrong) barbecue sauces that were supposed to be plum and ranch, and a broken cookie. Fries were soggy and under-cooked, tenders were warm, not hot, and the famous chicken sandwiches are half the size of other KFC locations. It's time to delete the KFC app and not order from here anymore. In spite of the online deal on the Famous sandwiches being a better value, the sandwiches are half the size of other locations, so it's really not a deal at all. We would advise avoiding this location. This review is based on about six experiences over a few months, not one bad experience. Never again, from this location.

UPDATE: we tried this location one more time, and regret it already. Giving feedback via surveys and reviews does absolutely noting but sabotage the next order! Our food arrived 30 minutes EARLY, there was a reason we asked for it to be at a certain time, and they are usually accurate on that. A few minutes early is not a big deal but 30 minutes is! There was way too much mayo on our soggy sandwiches, and we each had to remove a lot of it or risk wearing it. The sauce was wrong, again, and again, two forks were provided for three meals. The cookie arrived broken, same as last time..This location is just careless, period. There's no excuse for this, none! And delivery wasn't contactless as advertised! The delivery man claimed the buzzer wasn't working, but it does work. When I went downstairs to retrieve the order, another delivery man had just entered using the same buzzer, so that wasn't true either. That's not the first time he's pulled this stunt either. It's time they find another delivery person. As usual, I received the "deep fried apology" coupon for a free, lukewarm popcorn chicken for the latest survey. It's auto-generated, as nothing changes with reviews. From now on, we'll order online and pick up at another location. This one just isn't worth it. A while ago I ordered for delivery and they didn’t include all the items I paid for, I notified KFC and I wasn’t acknowledged but everything else was fine. The next time I ordered KFC I got a rude delivery guy, he also smelled strongly like an ashtray and the food I received smelt just like cigarettes, the container with the fries wasn’t closed and fries were hanging out of the box, the food especially the fries smelled like cigarette.

It had been a while so today I decided to order again because stores closed early for the holiday, I didn’t realize that all KFC deliveries always come from this same location. This time it was a different delivery guy; he was polite, in a good mood and did not smell repulsive. But the food?? :-/

The chicken tasted bad, not like usual KFC. It was oily yet some of it was dry inside. The fries were undeniably leftovers; lukewarm and others cold, it tasted old like food that’s sat around for a while. As usual I wasn’t given any ketchup or even a fork for the macaroni salads. I just left the store on Merivale Road about 6:15pm. I ordered 2 - 2 piece meals, when I got home there was only one meal and no cookies. I called the manager and he said I was only charged for one, after some discussion he recalled that I had ordered and paid for 2 meals. I had already changed and sat down to eat, he would not deliver it and wanted me to come back and get another meal. I told him I would just stop in tomorrow and get my money back, he said I would have to come back tonight with my receipt which they left on the counter. I cannot come back tomorrow to get my money, it had to be tonight. it was only a $11.30 sale but it's the point. When we walked in the guy was yelling at his employees to stay off their F....ing Phones, while we were waiting he was on the phone with a gut that did not receive the curds with his order, he wanted to give the guy a credit next time he is in! The guy said no way, deliver them! After he got off the phone the manager started yelling at the employees again. This was my 2nd bad experience at this location. needless to say I have contacted the head office on principal and will never go back there again.
