I recently had the pleasure of dining at Liuyishou Hotpot in Ottawa, and I can't stop raving about my experience!

The ambiance is cozy and inviting, creating the perfect setting for a delightful hotpot meal. The staff were incredibly attentive and friendly, making us feel right at home from the moment we walked in.

Now, let's talk about the star of the show – the hotpot itself. The selection of fresh ingredients was impressive, and the quality was top-notch. From succulent meats to a variety of vibrant vegetables, every component contributed to a flavor-packed feast. The broth options were diverse, catering to different tastes and preferences. I particularly enjoyed the rich and savory broth that added an extra layer of depth to the meal.

What sets Liuyishou Hotpot apart is the interactive and communal aspect of the dining experience. It's perfect for sharing great food and even better conversations with friends and family. The hotpot process is both entertaining and delicious, making it a unique and memorable dining adventure.

The attention to detail is evident in every aspect of Liuyishou Hotpot Ottawa, from the thoughtful presentation of dishes to the cleanliness of the restaurant. It's clear that the team takes pride in providing a fantastic dining experience.

Overall, Liuyishou Hotpot exceeded my expectations, and I can't wait to return. If you're a hotpot enthusiast or just looking for a remarkable dining experience in Ottawa, do yourself a favor and visit Liuyishou Hotpot. You won't be...

Came here for dinner on a Tuesday evening. There was a little bit of wait time even though The store was about half-packed. They have AYCE Monday-Friday 11:30-16:00 (not including holidays), soup base is NOT INCLUDED in the AYCE price. We came for dinner on a Tuesday so we ordered a la carte. We had the two-flavor soup base (鴛鴦鍋) with medium spicy mala soup base and the tomato beef soup base, both were a bit too greasy in my opinion. On top of the soup base and hot pot ingredients, you'd have to pay 2.5 dollars per person to be able to access the sauce and fruit/appetizers station, which didn't have much variety: there were peanuts, crackers, wood ear, pickled cabbage, and sliced oranges. I was hoping the honeydew would be refilled but that never happened. The food came out shortly after my order was taken. The ingredients were fresh and nicely plated. The server was very nice and diligent in cleaning up, although he missed a few orders, it wasn't a big deal and most issues were resolved after I mentioned we were still missing some items. The fried egg was pretty special, the server reminded me to dunk it into the non-spicy side of the pot which I really appreciated him telling me ahead of time. Overall, my husband and I had a great dining experience. Just wished there were more variety for fruit/appetizers and perhaps dessert. Also wished that the hot pot base was...

Others might have had a pleasant experience, but my experience with this place was quite disappointed. The place is nice, but the service is vary depend on the person. The waitresses were super nice and friendly, however the waiter was not that helpful. He seemed like he was not in a good mood. When I asked for a fork and a spoon, he brought me a plastic soup spoon and told me that was the only kind they had in store. That's fine. I waited for a while but he didn't bring me the fork. So I have to go to the counter to ask for it. The lady at the counter was super nice and she tried to find one for me from a plastic tray, where I saw dozens of stainless steel spoons in. Excuse me??? I was just told by the waiter they had nothing but the plastic ones. I was super upset that he was lying. When we about to finish, the waiter came and ask me if I would like to refill my soup. I told him I'm almost done, but I would like to have my tea refilled. He said ok, and guess what, he never came back. Why I was not surprised. I called another waitress to refill my tea. That waiter definitely should be re-trained by some professionals. I really wanted to rate one star, but the service from waitresses changed my mind. Overall, the place is nice and clean. The food is just about the average. It's a bit pricy, you would have better options in that...

Excellent place to try out a hotpot. This is probably the best I've been to so far, although I'm admittedly somewhat a novice. It's pretty simple - you pick a broth, you pick ONE staple carb (2-3 noodle options, one rice option), you pick 3 meats and 3 veggies. They give it to you, and you heat it in the hotpot on the cooktop on front of you. However, the best thing about this restaurant, I feel, are the sauces they offer. OMG, are they delicious! So many kinds - chives, seafood, a special traditional sauce (black with small grains, and possibly one of the best!), spicy beef pickle sauce (yum!!), bean curd paste, capsicum seed sauce, soy sauce based thick paste, and a few others. The sauces are gratis, and so are the pieces of tangerine. All of that while you enjoy the mellow oriental music they play. The guy serving me was kind and assisted me each time I had a question. They don't let you take sauce with you when you pack your remnants, but he gave me a small container anyway. I got the spicy broth with sticky rice, 2 beef styles and porkbelly along with broccoli, bean curd sheet (yum!) and woodear fungus! Check it out in the pictures below. I highly recommend this place, especially if you're a first timer.

I normally won’t eat Szechuan hotpot outside since I always believe it makes no difference to do it at home, especially when you can easily get the spicy soup base pack from T&T. But this one is a special one. The soup base is very Szechuan authentic. Every the pot is the transitional nine grid pot from Szechuan. It offers different temperatures in different grid, so you can choice different grid for different food. The longer the soup was boiled, the richer and more spicy it becomes. This is something I never experienced. Since it is not All-u-can-eat type hotpot, the food are prepared more dedicated, with some of them you can’t easily find from other hotpot restaurants. Some of them are very authentic, such as ox throat. If you are not familiar with these food you can simply order a combination platter so that you can taste small portion of everything. And they all taste good. This is probably the best hotpot place in Ottawa. Even it is a bit pricy ($35/person roughly), still highly recommend.
