Very disappointed in both the food and the "customer service". I've ordered from this place probably a hundred times before and the food was generally good. Tonight was a special birthday dinner and I ordered tofu Pad Thai, a dish I've ordered before. Tonight I got something, but it wasn't pad thai. The dish had a sweet sauce, no garlic no peppers, no peanuts, no cilantro, no lime, no tamarind, no peanut butter in the sauce, no fish sauce. I called to let them know I was disappointed. The woman I was speaking with claimed to be the manager, she told me to come back up to the restaurant so she could "look at it". I told her I wasn't leaving a birthday dinner for her to look at it, that I was just calling to let them know I was disappointed and that this wasn't the quality I was used to. She told me her pad thai doesn't have spice or peanuts and that you have to ask for them (never had to do this in the past) she then proceeded to tell me I could add what I wanted at home (I don't order from restaurants to remake the dish at home 🫤). At this point a man took the phone and began yelling at me. Actually yelling at me. He was yelling that I didn't know what I was taking about (I learned how to make authentic pad thai from an actual Thai neighbour) and continued yelling incoherently at me, to the point where I had to hang up. I wasn't asking for a refund, I just wanted to let them know that the quality was subpar. After the poor quality of the food along with the horrible "customer service" I will never be ordering from this place again and I will actively recommend that no one else order from there unless they want VERY North Americanized "Asian" food. Horrible food....
Read moreReally glad I found this place. Cozy little restaurant tucked away in the same plaza as the McDonald's.
The menu is interesting, in so it offers a little bit from multiple Asian cultures, which is great if you and your friends have a hankering for different cuisines. I've ordered the bibimbap and ramen from here and both were yummy. If you were in the mood for ramen, but didn't want to drive to Sansotei or Ginza, the ramen here could satisfy that craving.
The food has that take out quality despite having it made fresh before your eyes. Along those lines, be prepared to wait a bit for your food to be made. If you're trying to go for a quick lunch, consider placing your order ahead. Prices are great for the amount of food and having it come out piping hot.
Utimately, I look forward to returning to Nom Nom Kitchen and would definitely recommend giving...
Read moreAccessibility: Fully accessible aside from automatic doors. This restaurant is mainly for take out/pick up. There are some seats available, but no table service or proper utensils. If you choose to eat here, they only have plastic disposable utensils and wooden chopsticks. I ordered the pork ramen and was not disappointed. The pork was very soft, perfectly cooked, and there was plenty provided in my meal. The vegetables (carrots and baby Bok Choy) tasted very fresh. The noodles had a nice strong egg-flavour to turn. There is no choice in noodle type but I was not disappointed. The broth was a bit plain but still drinkable. If I lived in this area, I would do take out from here again. The dining area and bathrooms were in need of a good deep clean. Also it doesn't look like the ceilings/air vents have ever...
