It was a long day, and I decided to switch up pizza joints and order from Gabriels, because I wanted some Lebanese style pizza (thick crust, lots of cheese). I have found hairs on my pizza from Gabriels in the past, and took a long break from them, but decided to give them another shot.
Pizza looked promising, and I thought "the only thing that can ruin this moment is finding hairs in the pizza." Darn me for manifesting that negativity, because I kept finding these little white hairs or what my husband calls "fluffs" baked into the crust of the pizza. The kids and I were starving so I inspected each slice before serving them, picking out fluffs from the crust. Not sure if they dropped the dough on the floor before rolling it out, or if their prep station wasn't clean, but they were literally baked in the crust (see pic attached). Luckily no black hairs baked on top of the cheese, but these fluffs/white hairs were literally baked in so much of the crust.
I read past reviews and I am not the only one who experienced this. This establishment really needs to retrain their cook on cleanliness practices since this hair thing still seems to be an ongoing issue. Too many other pizza joints nearby, its a...
Read moreI have tried other Gabriel Pizza locations, and had good experiences so this is no reflection on the other locations. I went to this location today, and defiantly won't be back. I went in the dining room and ordered a sub, had to pay extra to have a sub because it wasn't on the dine in menu, no problem I understand that, but the sub was terrible! I asked for Greek dressing instead of mayonnaise, as I really don't like mayo on my subs or sandwiches, it shows up with a white mayo like substance on it, I asked the waiter to send it back and he did right away, he came back with the same sub saying that it was Greek dressing, I opened up the sub stuck my finger in a showed the waiter the white crap on my finger saying this isn't Greek dressing, he took it away again and brought the same sub back saying it was Greek dressing and it had feta cheese in it. Do you not think if I send something back twice maybe that I am a dissatisfied customer? Maybe offer to change it for something else? ( I had only taken one bite, not half the sub). The meat was very cheap quality, the turkey was just thin cheap sandwich meat like you can buy at Wal Mart, so not worth $23.00 taxes in...
Read morePlease be aware that if you are travelling down Montreal rd from St.-Laurent Blvd towards Orleans, that if you are at the corner of Ogilvie and Montreal rd lights that you cannot see any signage for the restaurant. The restaurant is hidden by Anytime Fitness location on the passenger side and before you see the Value Inn. Once passed by the Anytime Fitness you will then be able to see the restaurant and their signage. The building is grey trimmed in red on the outside. This restaurant has a breakfast menu as well as an array of foods other than pizzas. I ordered a salad and asked for a few ingredients to be left out, garlic bread without cheese but they have both, built my pizza with the ingredients that I wanted on. I then had a ice cream sundae and left off the caramel. For those who want to know this is a Pepsi not a Coke place. Their staff are friendly and don't be shy if you want to modify some ingredients to make the dish more suitable for your likes. Inside there is a bar set-up as with televisions, tables and booths, the washrooms are clean, parking all around...
