Papa Johns Pizza — Restaurant in Ottawa

I ordered lunch for delivery a couple of weeks ago, got the papa pairings deal for a couple of 1 topping pizzas and some wings. Got a call saying they don't have a delivery driver, but I could get 25% off if I came and picked it up myself. That sounded good, but when I got there, I got charged 25% off the full price of the pizzas and wings. After I finally had a look at the receipt, I told the girl working that it wasn't correct and that I had ordered the papa pairings. She said she couldn't put the 25% discount on the pairings deal, which she should have caught before she called me. I thought fine, mistakes get made, and I asked if I could get a refund and then pay for the papa pairings deal instead because that was cheaper than what she had entered.

She said no. She wanted me to pay more money to come pick up my order, than I would have paid for the food if I'd had it delivered, and said "it's just a couple of dollars". She knew full well she had overcharged me in two different ways, and didn't want to fix it.

Based on this behaviour, this Papa Johns hires employees who aren't trained correctly and are ok with stealing "just a couple of dollars" from you.

I put two complaints in on the website, one asking for an email back on the day of, and one two days later requesting a phone call back. From what I understand, these go to the store's manager. I've had no answer for 2 weeks, even though they say it will take 2 days.

Based on not getting any response, this Papa Johns has managers who are ok with stealing money from you.

We stumbled up Papa Johns initially while on vacation in Sandbanks and tried it in Belleville. It was so good . When back home And in the mood for pizza again of course we had to try our local new Papa John’s! To be transparent , I will share our first time was rough and not at all as our prior experience out of town. They were very quick to offer to make it up and fix it. With a little patience it turned out very well and were satisfied. Our next occasion I ordered and a super friendly gent took my call and order. Pizza was ready when I arrived and was hot and fresh . The store was very clean . When we arrived home my oldest young adult dove in and devoured it, says it ranks up there for him. The youngest thoroughly enjoyed the plain cheese pizza. The crust is the best of all pizza places we’ve had and have tried just about all of them. Our third experience here surpassed our expectations and warranted a positive review for their quality and service !

Since the initial review we’ve made it somewhat regular with mixed results. It seems to be a 50/50 roll of the dice the pizza will be as we hope, but when it’s not it’s greasy, salty and often times not as warm as it should be.it another shot as the kids really like their pizza . We called and ordered two pizzaz and the black lady on phone said $30.52 for the pizzas. When we came to pick up the order she billed $60. When ask why is she charging more, she was very rude and said that’s the price. Take it or leave it. She said she realized that she didn’t put the second pizza in after the call was disconnected. The online order price for two pizza was also $30, we could have ordered it online, but because she failed to communicate, she wanted us to pay for her mistake.

She didn’t even say sorry for the miscommunication, but she made it sound like we were freeloaders and we were looking for a free pizza. She was not willing to cooperate or call her manager. She stopped talking to us and we literally stood there for good 5 mins wondering if she is gonna help.
