Pizza Hut — Restaurant in Ottawa

I love Pizza Hut and I normally don't have any issues but today that changed. I made an order for pick up and was told that it would be ready in 30 minutes. Which is 10 minutes longer than it normally takes. Which not a big deal it was around dinner time. However, once I got there, I was one of 4 other people waiting for orders, and the front end gentleman was on the phone with an upset customer. In my opinion he was being extremely rude. What happened was the customer on the phone had ordered delivery. Btw I could clearly hear the customer through the phone. They stated that they saw the delivery guy pull up in front of their house. He opened the door stood up, looked at the house door and then their driveway (which had no car in it) He then got back into his car and drove away and said that no one was home. The customer and the employee argued back and forth with the worker saying that the driver reported he went to the door and there was no one home. The customer told him once again that was not true and then doubled down and said he has the whole thing on his security camera. Long story short it ended up with the worker after being quite short and rude with the customer telling the customer that they can remake it but they are really busy and it will be another hour....finally once he is off the phone he comes to the counter and I asked for my order and I was told oh, sorry they are actually bit busy and it's going to be another 30 minutes and immediately walked away before i could say anything. They hadn't even started it! I kept my calm. Even though I was very unhappy. While I was there 3 more customers came in a got different variations of the same attitude. However when 2 skip the dishes drivers came in they managed to get their orders right away. I kept trying to get the guys attention and I was intentionally ignored. 20 minutes into my wait I got it. His attention, not my pizza....but I asked if I could order some mini cinnamon rolls to which he made a sarcastic short and said yeah you if you want to wait 30 more minutes. To which he i said nevermind obviously. I finally got my order not long after that. 3 minutes shy of 1 hour after ordering it and being told 30 minutes...again this is not my normal experience here. We ordered a couple of pizzas tonight. One was alright, a little underdone though. It didn't have the crispy, pan pizza feel that Pizza Hut usually has. The second pizza was completely underdone. The dough was raw underneath. We each had a slice and didn't touch the rest.

We tried to call them to let them know that they're sending out under-cooked pizzas. The call center personnel was helpful and transferred us to our local restaurant, but they never picked up at the restaurant. We were on hold for 5-6 minutes before we just gave up.

I didn't want to give them 1 star, but if I'm being honest even 2 stars is probably too generous. Everything we paid for showed up, but half of our order was basically inedible. If I had to guess, they probably wanted to close early and so they rushed the pizza's out before they were done. That might explain why they didn't pickup the phone, I don't know.

I like pizza hut enough, but I don't think I'll ever order from this location again.

Update: I filled out a customer service email. It asked if I wanted to be contacted by someone about my order and I responded 'yes'. Hours later I got an automated email asking if I had been contacted by anyone, and I hadn't. I really think they don't want my business back, so it's nice to know we're on the same page...

I wish I could give 0 stars. I can't even begin to describe how horrible our experience was with this Pizza Hut. I think it would be easiest to break it down into steps. 1. we call this Montreal Road pizza hut to order to our apartment in Ottawa. We confirm our address about 20 times with the guy on the phone and they took our order. 2. about an hour later, we get a call from Pizza Hut in KITCHENER telling us it would be a 2 HOUR DRIVE TO DELIVERY OUR PIZZA. ? what? 3. We called Pizza Hut on Bank Street, they told us they don't deliver to our address and tried transferring us to the Montreal location, the transfer didn't work and the operator hung up on us. 4. We call Pizza Hut on Montreal road AGAIN, we confirm our address AGAIN, down to our Postal Code, and the operator tells us they deliver here and proceeded to take our order. We confirmed multiple times that it was in OTTAWA. I gave my friend the phone to place the order, he took down what we said and then stated that they actually don't deliver to our address.
