Been to this location many times prior to this evening. Won't be going back! The food was good but used to be better. Baked potatoes arrived with a scoop of butter and sour cream already dumped right in the potato cavity. I take pleasure in preparing my potato exactly the way I like it starting with an undressed potato (like it always has been presented). The waiter pretended to be friendly and professional but obviously has a lot to learn about body language. He suddenly interrupted our conversion to inform us it was getting busier and although there was 'no rush', we'd be able to leave as we wish once the bill was paid. Leaves the debit machine on the table and promptly walks away! (Quickly)... no time to tell him I was paying in cash! Then I inform the next waiter who walks by that I'll be paying in cash and try to give her 200$. She say's 'oh you don't need the machine?', promptly grabs the machine and runs off leaving my payment right on the table! Now this was getting almost comical... here I thought we were being rushed out. We took the time to finish our half bottle of wine that was left when we were initially interrupted by our waiter. My girlfriend had to convince me to NOT to dash once we had dined. It took another 25 minutes for us to wave down our waiter but this time I held my gaze as I explained what was going on. It took another almost 10 minutes for him to close out our table. If I was dining by myself, I would have walked without paying the first time he dropped off the debit machine and ignoring my attempt to tell him i was paying in cash. Overall, I can say the food was good but the waiters' (yes both of them) ineptitude ruined the experience...! We've already decided on another restaurant we'll be transferring our business to. Read moreWe attended the St. Laurent Bv location on 26 May for dinner. We got there around 6:00 pm and the place was about half empty so there was no problem getting a table. We were seated promptly and attended to immediately. Our server, David, was very quick in taking and bringing our drink order. We needed a couple of extra minutes for the menu and he was very obliging.
After five or so minutes of looking at the menu, we placed our orders. The biscuits were brought out in short order. We had seafood stuffed mushrooms as an appetizer. Our meals consisted of a small caesar salad, a shrimp entree and we both had the shrimp linguine alfredo for our main course. The entire meal was very tasty, served quickly and hot and the portion sizes were generous. We both took home half our main courses in to go boxes. The price of our meal, including gratuity, was was quite reasonable.
I had mentioned to David that he had served us during a previous dinner at the restaurant and told him that were were as impressed with the service that night as on our previous occasion. He was very thankful for the compliment. His service was as every service should be; prompt, friendly, available but not hovering and showed great concern for the customer and their dining experience.

Read moreWe went here to have a nice meal, one of us got fish and the other got the all you can eat shrimp special. The waitress informed us that they were out of the garlic shrimp but I could order any of the other 4, so I picked 2 to start and a side, it was good, everything was very generously seasoned, the alfredo tasted a little on the sweeter side compared to before. Next I wanted to try the other 2 types of shrimp and so I asked for the skewered and Walt’s favourite. Immediately the waitress aggressively remarked that they were out of the skewered shrimp “as she had mentioned when we first ordered“. We were both taken aback by the rudeness of her response and genuinely confused as she had made the mistake with her facts from the beginning. I didn’t see the point in trying to correct her or explain to her why I wanted to order what I did. I just said okay and asked for the garlic shrimp instead… I tried to give her the benefit of the doubt but her energy was very harsh and demeanour seemed passive. We wrapped up our meal quickly after that, paid and headed out so that our interactions with her would be minimized. Besides the theatrics and saltiness of the food, I would go back to this place, but definitely not in her section.
If you have high blood pressure, stay away because if the salt doesn’t worsen it, the waitress will. Talk to your doctor before...
