Crave Tacos — Restaurant in Ottawa

Simply Amazing! This is not your normal taco bell or even Lone Star.... I would call this taco fusion at its best. Pork, chicken, lamb, fish, shrimp, cauliflower (veggie option) each with its own Individual and delicious flavors and toppings.we opted for the taco bowls so 2 taco choices on bed of salad. Or you can get 2 tacos on tortillas or 2 tacos on a bed of fries... I had pulled pork mole and the lamb taco bowl. Fresh salad greens with a bit of red cabbage and radish for crunch. I Love LOVE the salsa Verde (Green tomato and advocado salsa) Wife had pulled chicken and cauliflower taco bowl.

All these were delicious but I especially enjoyed the samples Jeff brought out of the mahimahi fish and shrimp I will definitely try those next time! Emily is an awesome cook!

Moderately priced but expect FRESH ingredients. This will a date night place for us all summer! Might bring the kids.

Now I'm still a Texan by birth so I missed having a few tortilla chips and salsa on the side ... But that's just me. I like using the corn chips to eat my taco bowl...

This is well worth the drive to Stittsville downtown area. There's parking next door at the gas station a couple of picnic tables and lots of shade. Make this a stop on the way to the cottage, you'll be glad you did.

OMFG!! Just went from our worst mexican food experience at a truck I won't name here. ( in a previous review ) to what is quite possibly THE BEST TACOS WE HAVE EVER HAD!!! - even their fries are "on the money!" CRAVE TACOS...CRAVE TACOS...CRAVE TACOS...( they're worth chanting their name folks) Right away you sense the difference - from their amazing hand washing/sanitizing setup that is all automated - this is all OUTDOORS remember. The 2 young ladies serving and preparing the menu are friendly, outgoing, and very helpful in choosing from their selection of taco meals. One even went so far to give me salt and pepper, ketchup, and vinegar even though they didn't have packets - the "other place" we went to previously just said NO. So we tried their pulled beef and chicken taco combo with side o fries and drink. First off, the fries were perfectly crunchy and fresh....but the TACOS....fresh ingredients, tangy and scrumptious. Great reception and service. The menu is fairly simple and theres something for everyone. My favorite taco was the Mai Mai (fish), second favorite would be the pulled pork. Now for the down sides or rather points that could be improved: Perhaps grill the shrimp for the Zesty shrimp taco (they would taste less like cocktail shrimp) change the taco shell recipe and make them a bit smaller, less is sometimes better and this so goes hand in hand with the last comment, though the sauces were tasty, the same combination of sauces were used on nearly all the tacos. For one it made the taco soggy and drippy and two it hides the taste of the ingredients inside the taco shell. Finally, I had a good time and very much enjoyed the fries, but currently, I don't think the establishment would fall into my category of must does for anyone visiting.
