Royal Prince Restaurant — Restaurant in Ottawa

Not only is this place authentic with delicious items on the menu and not only are the staff so kind and personable but let me tell you about the honesty and respect that they have for their customers. I personally only eat halal meat. They have some items on the menu (always changing) that are halal. When I called just now to place an order, the gentleman told me “I unfortunately cant sell you anything because we use one oil right now to fry and earlier a piece of pork fell into it, I am so sorry.” THAT IS EVERYTHING 👏🏼 truly gained a regular customer as of this moment. I cannot wait to order again from them soon! Any other place would just want to make a sale and wouldnt be honest with me like this person was. It means so much to be respected this way :)

Edit: i called twice again and they said the same exact thing. I cant believe how played I feel. If you dont sell halal anymore, please just say so. Dont come up with fake excuses smh. How...

You know that warm fuzzy feeling you get from that "down home", "feel good" food you used to eat with your family on special occasions? This food is that "feel good" that just makes your pallette and taste buds scream "give me more!" Unfortunately we were on a strict lunch budget other wise I might have had to order a second plate! Super casual setting and r&b in the background made it fun and exciting as my wife and I tasted the Carribean flavour the good people at Royal Prince are serving up. I had the Goat and my wife had the Curry Chicken. The goat was perfectly cooked. A Combination crisp and crunchy on the outside and succulent and juicy on the inside. Very Happy Vegetarians! It was our first time at this restaurant and it will now be our new go-to spot! We were pleasantly surprised with the vegetarian option that was offered here. The food was enriched with flavor, the portions were satisfying (even the small plate was filling) and the prices were exceptional. The restaurant was very clean and well-designed.
