Shawarma Prince — Restaurant in Ottawa

Terrible service - Ordered through Uber Eats and delivered within expected time, but that is as far as it goes. I ordered a large beef shawarma combo with spicy garlic and this comes with side of potatoes and a can of pop. I ordered a medium side dish of turnip and pickles and well. What I received was 1 large chicken shawarma combo with regular garlic sauce (with a side of potatoes), 1 can of sprite (with Uber fees nd tip I paid almost $35. I did not get the extra side of turnips and pickles that I paid for, or the beef shawarma I ordered. I tried for 45 minutes to call them to get my order corrected with no luck; I called repeatedly after 8:10pm for 30 minutes straight (not during peak dinner service hours) to try to speak with someone and get my order corrected and delivered to me. They did not pick up their phone once, and they do not have voicemail set up so customers can leave a message.

Next I tried to get some feedback and called the Barrhaven location to find out if any of the Ottawa locations have same ownership because I want to talk to the owner to get my meal corrected or reimbursed, they answer their phones. I explained what happened and was informed they are all Franchise locations - so different owners.

So very disappointed and will not order from there again - I feel ripped off, I am now "hangry", and upset that have been forced to spent another $25 to order a beef shawarma and Tabouleh from...

Although we've never lived close to it, Shawarma Prince has been the place we've taken extra time to drive to to get really good shawarma. We haven't had it in a year or so, but it's definitely not what I remember.

The guys working were both super nice, so I'll give them that. The food, however, was just OK. We both got chicken plates. Although there was a boatload of food, nothing really hit the mark.

The chicken was fine, but had quite a bit of flabby skin, which made some bites pretty unpelasant.

The rice was insanely salty and just overspiced. It really took over the whole meal. It with the salad was grease level 10/10.

I remember the best part used to be the garlic sauce. It was super punchy. Now it was just your standard shawarma garlic sauce.. not nearly as much garlic as it used to have. Weak :(

Also a tiny little cuppy of garlic sauce is definitely not enough for a $21 plate of food.

I recently moved to Stittsville and was looking for my go to Shawarma place and I think I finally found one. This place is very simple and serves fresh and hot food. All the veggies, salad is freshly cut and served in front of you. The shawarma meat is cooking in the background and the orders are going left right center out of the door. They are very busy specially during lunch and dinner time where people queue up for takeout a Family platter or meal for two in the form of small platters or just a shawarma/sandwich. The price is reasonable for one person meal with shawarma costing less than $10 and comes with huge portion of ingredients. The flavour is to die for.
