Starbucks — Restaurant in Ottawa

After hearing how bad this place was from people who work in this Loblaws, I decided to take a gamble since I was craving a Strawberry and Creme Frappuccino. Let's just say I did not win with the drink I received.

The barista making it didn't seem to have a clue because I watched him make a coffee frappuccino and add some small teaspoon scoops of pink powder (I'm guessing it's strawberry powder) and blend it all. I told him I don't believe that's how it's made because there's no coffee in Strawberry and Creme. I've ordered this many times before at other Starbucks as I don't drink coffee. When I showed him pictures of what it should look like and explained there's no coffee, all he did was add some strawberry drizzle to the top and hand it back to me. I tried a few sips and all I could taste was coffee. He did not seem to understand what was wrong with the drink.

I ended up having to go to a different Starbucks to get my order done correctly.

There’s are a couple people who work there who seems to give consistently good drinks but there are others where the drinks they serve often taste sour or off in some way. Inconsistent. However, that’s not my biggest issue. When I was there yesterday I noticed that the back of counter was disgusting. They also had a cleaning bottle on the counter, the dirty nozzle positioned over the cups of tea (tea station broken down for the day). the counter was sopping wet,grime everywhere. Everywhere I looked it just looked dirty. As I was looking around it dawned on me that with the state of the work area I didn’t 100% trust that they regularly clean that ice bin and I’m unfortunate enough to know what happens when ice bins aren’t properly cleaned. I’m not sure I’m going back. Id hate to see the state of those fridges.

They don't have coffee, matcha or tea at 8:00 am in the morning. I don't know how this Starbucks is operating without the essentials of a coffee shop. The staff are also rude, may be the owner as he was not in the usual Starbucks Barista apron. He was unpleasant, unapologetic and unprofessional. There are two other Starbucks' nearby (Beechwood and Coventry Road) that will gladly serve you with integrity and professionalism. Avoid this location in the Loblaws Vanier...
