Since I live close by, it’s a convenient location and I’ve been going there for several years now. However, this particular location seems to attract some very unsavory characters. All too often, I’ve witnessed several incidents that made customers very uncomfortable and lately this has become a common occurrence. Even the police had to extricate certain individuals in the past who were creating problems inside the restaurant. Now having said all that, my latest visit to this restaurant was quite disturbing. A guy that I can only describe as a gangster want-to-be was sitting in the corner. He had his headphones on and singing out loud to the lyrics of a very hateful and disturbing gangster rap music. As I was waiting in line to be served, all I could hear was “F” the whites and “F” the cops. A woman ahead of me in line promptly walked out without ordering. Understandably, she felt very uncomfortable. I was there to meet a friend of mine who wanted to buy a used camera I was selling. I picked up the camera and pointed it towards an Ottawa Senators poster that was hanging by the cash. It wasn’t anywhere near in the direction of the individual. However, I could hear the want-to-be gangster making ugly threats, but I refused to look in his direction. He actually said... "if you point that camera at me, I’m going to “F”en kill you… I promise you that”. He said that multiple times. My friend and I decided, it’s finally time to leave. This was a blatant threat made to me and in a public space with other customers around. My big issue is, why didn’t anyone of the staff or even the store manager contact the police and have this individual removed. We noticed several people leaving the restaurant. It was no longer a safe environment especially if you are Caucasian considering the lyrics were in reference to “F” and "kill the whites". Tim Horton’s, like any other business, has some responsibility to ensure that customers are always felt welcome and secure in their environment. I’m certainly never going to set foot in that particular Tim...
Read moreI was asked to report this following a review I left on Google, regarding a very disappointing experience at your location.
My young daughter urgently needed to use the washroom, but when I tried to take her, the door was locked. I went to the counter and explained that I would purchase something, but she really needed to go. The woman behind the counter appeared indifferent and simply told me that the family washroom was the only one available, then went back to arranging the donut display.
When I tried the family washroom, it was also locked. I looked back at the staff member for assistance, but again, she seemed uninterested and said, "someone might be in it." I ended up buying a donut for my daughter just to make the situation a bit easier for her, but it had been sitting on a visibly dirty rack. The same staff member then returned the rack to the display case, and the grime and filth underneath were honestly revolting. I didn't even feel good about letting my daughter eat it, but she had already seen it and asked.
We waited another five minutes, but no one ever came out of the washroom. I’m fairly certain the washrooms were simply locked and not meant for customer use at that time. I tried once more to ask for help, but the staff member ignored me completely. At that point, we left.
There were no "Out of Order" signs on any of the washrooms, which made the situation more frustrating. I don’t usually leave reviews or complain, but the complete lack of basic service, cleanliness, and empathy was incredibly...
Read moreWORST. SERVICE. EVER. I have tried 4 times - am never ever going back. 4th times a charm. For three visits I went into the restaurant. All three times for various orders (e.g. chili, sandwich, coffee, bagel), it took between 10 and 18 minutes to get my food. There is an older skinny woman in there that every single time runs around yelling at people and being very rude and angry. It's like her employer is inconveniencing her in some way. She should not be working there.
Today I went through the drive thru because I wanted to avoid 15 minutes to get food and avoid that woman - I was short on time (I work across the street). I have to open my car door because my window is broken. I repeated my order three times to the woman. When I got to the drive thru the SAME skinny older woman handed me a bag - it was my soup. They got the bun wrong so I asked for the white one. She mumbled "jesus christ seriously" - I have a wheat allergy! She then forcefully took the bag back and grabbed it out of my hand. The woman who took my money said they can't hear with my car door open then MADE FUN OF ME! I said to her, "why can't you just be nice?" and she said "well you're not being so why should I?" and claimed I slammed my door! These people are whacked and I would NEVER recommend anyone going there unless you wanted to have a bad day. Tim Horton's should do better interviews. Those women are NASTY. I felt like I was inconveniencing the staff by placing my order and paying for it. And I...
