I'm getting tired of this store specifically…So much so that I'm actually done going there. EVERYTIME I've gone there, and I mean every time, there's now a communication problem, mainly during drive through.
The last time I went there before today, I had a guy in drive through screw up my order and then accuse me that my choice of English words were the reason for my incorrect order I received, basically, he tried to convince me it was my fault. I've majored in English, speak it fluently as an Indigenous Canadian , but an employee whose English wasn't strong tried convincing me that I was the problem?
Wild to me, honestly, and you literally can't make this up. I never got his name, and I regret not getting it, as I could have reported him directly. There's also some type of scam, or at least some type of plan where drive through employees charge you a larger amount for what you order, and if you catch it, again they convince “you” the customer, that you spoke incorrectly. I don't care about age/sex/and or religion, so this isn't about that, more so this is about explaining the situation with facts.
I've tried to talk to a manager once in store, and guess what, he basically brushed me off, and looked at me like I am the problem. There's a few solid employees in drive through, but their schedules vary and are never the same week to week, so at this point I'm done with this store specifically. Best of luck with any future drive through orders. And good luck waiting 24-72 hours for a 3 dollar refund, it’s not worth the aggravation or the headaches.
And lastly, this is important. Consider putting a light system, or get a cross walk and the end of your drive through. You legit have seniors leaving your store, and crossing across your drive through exit like children not looking both ways before crossing the road, or worse, getting off a school bus. I can’t tell you how many times people have almost gotten smoked by cars leaving the area. It’s a nasty blind spot. Yes whoever is driving is more responsible I suppose but there’s not much you can do if someone jumps in front of your car last...
Read moreDear Tim Hortons Customer Service, I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding an incident that occurred at one of your locations in Canada. On June 19th 2025 at 3:47 pm, I attempted to make a purchase at 2145 Robertson Rd, Nepean, ON K2H 5Z2 and offered to pay with a $100 Canadian banknote. To my surprise, the staff refused to accept it as a form of payment. According to the Currency Act (R.S.C., 1985, c. C-52) of Canada, Canadian banknotes issued by the Bank of Canada are legal tender throughout the country. Specifically, Section 8(1) of the Act states: "A tender of payment of money is a legal tender if it is made in coins or notes issued under the authority of the Parliament of Canada." This includes the $100 note, which is a valid and widely circulated denomination. While I understand that individual businesses may adopt policies to mitigate fraud or operational issues (such as counterfeit detection or cash-handling limits), refusing legal tender without providing reasonable alternative options or explanations can cause significant inconvenience and could be seen as discriminatory or exclusionary, especially when the note is legitimate and undamaged. I respectfully request that you: Investigate this matter and provide a clear explanation of your company’s policy regarding large denominations. Confirm whether your policy aligns with federal guidelines and ensure consistent staff training to prevent future issues. Offer an appropriate resolution or apology for the inconvenience caused. I would appreciate a written response to...
Read moreThe service is TERRIBLE what can I say. You can be the only one in drive through, no one even at the window and wait ten minutes for someone to take your order and then wait another 5 at the window for 2 coffees, this could be morning or afternoon or evening or night Anytime we have gone 8pm ish there’s NOTHING left food wise. No doughnuts, timbits (other that biebs which are more expensive and even my kids won’t eat them) no muffins no cookies no bread nothing. Oh they have bagels but “they can’t toast them” Spoken with manager multiple times who insists they throw out tons every night and this is a one time occurrence (each and every time) The staff don’t seem to even care a customer is there. You pull up to the window and they simply hand you the debit machine without even looking you in the eye, telling you your total or acknowledging you in any way and they continue yapping with their friends. They pass you your order and don’t say a word Going inside isn’t better. They look like they would rather be anywhere else than serving you. A few times we have gone to dine in and never once were asked for vaccine info Last night was the last straw, McDonald’s is 2 seconds away and now has our full business
Edit Months later and still OMG. I go only for the hot chocolate because it’s actually good. Almost every time we end up with it “full” as seen in the photo attached. They don’t like you asking for a top up either. Like it’s a...
