We ordered 2 Asiago Bacon Ranch Classic Club Sandwiches at the location in Carleton Place. While on our drive, we open up our sandwiches to realize that the Ranch, Bacon and cheese are not on our sandwiches. We then decide to head to our closest location, which is the Kanata location. We entered the drive through and let the person answering the speaker know what had happened amd we wondering if we could just have the missing ingredients to add to the sandwiches. They gave us no other response than to drive up to the 2nd window. Once we are arrive, the manager on duty at the window offered absolutely no type of resolution or compensation. He specifically said there was absolutely nothing he could do and that he had no other option than to have the sandwhiches as they were or drive back to Carleton Place. At this point we had suggested if we could even pay for the sole ingredients that we had ALREADY paid for as a solution. We do understand that they may have been different owners thus we found this to be a reasonable solution to negating any costs lost from the Wendy's location in Kanata for fixing our orders from Carleton place. The manager said that he was unable to do that for us. He went as far to explain that he can only do that type of thing for other employees regardless of their location, but however not for customers. We asked if he knew if the owner of this establishment owned other establishments, he then confirmed and asked the relevance. We then explained our thinking as to why we were offering to pay for the missing ingredients we had already previously purchased. He gave us no response and asked that if we liked to further discuss to come inside. We than went inside to show the receipt and explained that if this type of scenario had happened at any other type of corporation they would be wiling to help. He then reluctantly gave us a container with 3 slices bacon (inadequate amount considering their were 2 Sandwiches) and 2 slices of cheese. I am astonished that this is how Wendy are training their managers to handle errors and...
Read moreAs of 2021, the absolute worst Wendy's I have ever been to - which is unfortunate. I used to love this Wendy's as it is the one I grew up with. A few years ago the staff changed and since then I rarely find myself with an order that has been done correctly (missing items, incorrect sandwich, no tomatoes on the salad, etc).
The most frustrating is that I have arrived at the drive through 25 minutes before closing - the staff have come out, assessed the line but done nothing to close it off, and then when I finally got to the front window, still before closing, the staff said that they were closed and would not be taking orders. This is with multiple people still in line and having made no effort at all to stop the line or inform any of us that they would be closing early. The staff member at the window then said that it was a busy night so he didn't want to send anyone to stop the drive through line but they were closed none the less (despite it still being before closing time) and come back another day.
I understand that sometimes employees get tired or don't feel like doing their job, but letting people sit in your drive through lane, with no ability to exit, for 20+ minutes only to not serve them even though it is still before closing seems like terrible customer service to me. Super disappointed in what used to be a...
Read moreToday, May 22nd at around 11:10pm we went in and ordered a homestyle chicken sandwich combo and a spicey chicken sandwich combo. Waited about 17 minutes for it only to be a beef burger and a spicy sandwich. Wasent pleasant to unwrap beef when we don't eat that, and the frosty was practically liquid. The staff were joking around in the back and the manager was barely managing. When I brought the beef burger up to replace with a chicken sandwich...they looked at me, spoke in a different language while unwrapping sandwhiches from different bags, obviously looking for mine, and the lady at the cash had to ask them to replace my sandwich instead of argue. They replaced it...only to find we ended up with two spicy sandwiches. By the time zi bit into mine and realized it was spicy chicken I decided against going back up as they are obviously not interested in customers. Not too thrilled with this exchange and it seems to be the same with many wendy's in Ottawa.
Update: Owner has replied, thank...
