It was my worst experience ever. I decided to visit tobermory with my friends and we were staying at owen sounds. We wanted to taste some Indian food so visited this place. We entered in restaurant and placed the order. First at all, it took very long for us to get dinner even after having just couple of customers. Second thing, food was awful. We ordered extra spicy panner gravy and it was so watery and sweet in taste. They served us premade garlic naan that we used to buy from Walmart. There is no difference in regular naan and garlic naan at all and even was undercooked. They literally served us can packed chole subji and even one of my friends orderedbutter chicken and it was RAW. Even my 10 years old cousin can cook properly. We kindly asked owner to serve us new one or cancel some of the food items and we shocked. He didn't take any responsibility and called cook and told we got a problem. These guys was behaving so rudely and didn'ttake any responsibility. Even cook was literally shouting at us to pay for everything we ordered and wasn't ready to serve new food. We were so angry and disappointed and leave the restaurant with empty stomach. WORST SERVICE AND GOOD AT ALL. Doesn't care about their customers or standards. C'mon guys this is not rocket science. Even you can't cook can made food properly. DO NOT VISIT...
Read moreThe restaurant was out of half the items on the menu. Garlic naan? Nope. Saag (spinach)? Nah. Chicken?? Not that either. After ordering several things and being told 10 minutes later that these orders could not be completed, we were essentially herded into picking three dishes: lamb madras, lamb rezzala, and matar paneer ($18, $18, $11 respectively). We thought the prices were steep, but figured the portions would be large. We were wrong. On top of that, the food was extremely mediocre. Not sure how something so full of spices could taste bland at the same time. The rezzala and paneer dishes were made of 70% undercooked onion. The lamb in both lamb dishes was extremely tough; might as well have been rubber. The worst crime was the naan: store-bought pita bread thrown on the pan for a minute or two. And they had the audacity to charge $2.50 for each piece. We were about to order the paratha but thank God they were out of that too or else who knows what sort of disappointment they would have defrosted for us for $4 a piece. The only redeeming piece was that our waiter was a nice kid. Save your money, folks. If you're really craving Indian food, you're better off driving 5 minutes to the Walmart and grabbing the butter chicken from the...
Read moreAlways enjoy eating at the Curry House. Warm Friendly atmosphere, Good selection of ala carte dishes, and set meals, with a full range of Indian mild to spicy dishes. Selections range from Butter Chicken, Tikka Masala, to Madras, and Vindalo. They are prepared to taylor the spicyness of the dishes on request.
Set Meals usually come with two vegetible sides, plus nann bread and a Meat main of chicken, Beef, or Lamb. I have tried most of the set meals and never been dissappointed. During COVID times it was a favourite for take out options, and the food was always ready on time, and of good taste.
