Yummy Yummy Japanese & Thai Cuisine in Owen Sound is an absolute gem! 🍣✨ From the moment we walked into their cozy, welcoming restaurant at 251 10th St E, the friendly staff made us feel right at home. The atmosphere is vibrant yet relaxed, with charming Japanese-style decor that sets the perfect mood for a delightful dining experience. 😊 The all-you-can-eat menu is a sushi lover’s dream! 🍤 The sushi rolls, like the Red Dragon Maki and Owen Sound Maki with its succulent lobster, were bursting with fresh, high-quality ingredients. Each piece was crafted with care, delivering a perfect balance of flavors—crisp veggies, tender fish, and just the right amount of rice. The Shrimp Tempura was golden and crunchy, and the Chicken Katsu came with a teriyaki sauce that was out-of-this-world delicious! 😋 For Thai food fans, their Pad Thai and Lemongrass Beef were packed with bold, authentic flavors that left us craving more. What truly sets Yummy Yummy apart is the exceptional service. The staff were attentive, quick, and so kind—always checking in with a smile. 🌟 The iPad ordering system made it super easy to customize our meal, especially for allergies, which was a huge plus. The price for the all-you-can-eat option is such a steal for the quality and variety you get! 💰 Whether you’re a local or just passing through Owen Sound, Yummy Yummy is a must-visit for fresh, flavorful sushi and Thai dishes in a warm, family-friendly setting. We left stuffed, happy, and already planning our next visit! 🥟🍵 Highly recommend!

Hands down the WORST all-you-can-eat experience ! This was our first time trying “yummy yummy” (all you can eat) and the experience was not anywhere near good, the quality of the service and food were terrible. We waited for so long to order. We tried to match the items on the all-you-can-eat menu to the main menu to see what the ingredients are (the all-you-can-eat menu gives you zero information) and I ended up ordering mango salad. On the main menu, there was a picture of it in a plate with mint leaves, ripe and fresh mango pieces, onion slices, some other greens and cashews on top) and what I have recieved was literally cup of raw and almost white mango slices with 3 pieces of onion on it. As I asked the waitress about it, she said this is mango salad from all-you-can-eat menu and the one I was expecting was from the main menu which might be convincing in terms of size of the portion but the difference in ingredients was hugeeee! The chicken teriyaki was a disaster. The texture and taste was anything except chicken teriyaki and we couldn’t figure out what kind of meat we were eating till we had our complete order in front of us and noticed: yeah that might be “chicken” teriyaki. The beef was very hard to chew and all rolls were overloaded with rice. The “house on fire” roll was better than the other rolls though. My suggestion: charge more and definitely improve your service and food quality.

First of all, the food is alright, not top notch but still enjoyable. What I want to talk about is how long we had to wait for each serving on the all you can eat. Paying for a $35.99 service should be worth your money and worth your time as well. We sat and ordered and ate and after an hour of that, we all were still very hungry, (there were 4 of us, 3 of us ate), not because the food portions were small, but because the food was coming really slow. Nobody was clearing our table, and our waters were empty for a while. I had to go talk to one of the workers where after him talking back to me instead of apologizing to a customer, he got his staff to speed up the service for our table and right away they came to fill up our waters, clear our table and bring out food faster. But for us to get our moneys worth out of the AYCE and get as full as you normally would want to spending that type of money, we stayed for almost 2 hours, which is really ridiculous. I usually really like to support family and small businesses, but this place really disappointed me, and this is my second time here. The first time I came I was really happy with everything overall, this time, just a buzzkill, and I’m still disappointed because I wanted to impress my friends with this restaurant.

This restaurant was sucks. At the first, clearly we asked at the front desk, "Can we order all you can eat dinner?" and the waiters said "yes", And we asked again", if we order dinner buffet, can we order unlimited for sashimi or limited?" and the waiter said " Unlimited" clearly. Then we decided to eat there. when we ordered sashimi for the second time, the chinese lady who admitted as a manager came to us and said that this is will be last order for sashmi, no more. and I said, We already asked clearly at the beginning to your waiter and she said unlmited, thats why we decided to eat all you can eat dinner in here. now you said that.it's not fair ! And the chinese lady(manager) said that the waiter is new, she doesn't know anything. And she said, actually the restaurant for local people only(whats is that means local people?) who usually not order sashimi a lot. I was confuse at that time, because we are from Canada as well. And then i understand what she meant "Local People" which is white people who doesn't order raw food a lot. Sound this restaurant did a discrimination and very irresponsible, even they made mistake (i don't think they made mistake, but she did it in purpose , just want to get profit but the service was horrible, just because we are not"local people") Its really not fair, they said unlimited at the first and when we star to eat, the chinese lady who was admitted as a manager , refused our order. This restaurant was suck , irresponsible and discrimination. So. for local people. this restaurant just want to get your money only, I totally not recommend this restaurant. ...
