We went in for lunch after work, craving their wonton soup. After specifically asking the waitress about the different types of noodles we thought we were ordering exactly what we wanted. I ordered the #620 which states "rice noodles" I asked if rice noodles were same ones in Pad Thai? The waitress answered yes! When my dish was brought to the table, it was the thick pasta noodles. The waitress then returned with my husbands dish and I asked about the noodles? She asked which dish did you order? I responded #620, she said "yes that is the rice noodle, just the thick one! We have all different size rice noodles here" She could not get away from our table fast enough! Then did not even look at us until 15 mins after we were done eating. She then returned to ask if we were done? With lots of leftovers, we asked her to bring some take out containers and told her the #620 we were not going to eat. (we didn't even touch the dish, i realize they can't re-sell a dish but as a server, you see we didn't even touch it! After knowing you gave us the wrong info on the type of noodle) So, we went to pay! The dish wash still on the bill with a 10% discount. My husband realized after paying and went back, the waitress explained, she spoke with the manager and could not do anymore? So, he told her if I am paying for it, I minds well take it? She had already put it in the fringe, in a takeout container. (My Father was a happy man that night, with dinner delivered) However, be sure to clarify what your ordering!!!! For $11.75 dish they just...
Read moreWe've been here a couple of times and still find it to be one of the best pho restaurants in Niagara (and Northern Alberta for that matter).
Pho broth is consistently excellent and if you order the rare beef, it arrives at the table RARE and thinly sliced. The little extras (mung beans, basil) is always plentiful and fresh.
Unlike other pho restaurants, the condiment tray has everything you could want. Soya sauce, spicy oil, chili/garlic, hoisin sauce, etc. No shortage of spices to season your pho anyway you like (but please, respect the broth; try it without seasoning first).
Chicken wings: I don't know what it is about how they are prepared in Asian countries, but they are ALWAYS perfectly moist and crunchy on the outside. If you're looking for Buffalo Style wings, these aren't it, but they are exceptionally tasty to the point of addictive.
An absolute "must try" are the pork spring rolls. FAR larger than the usual serving that you might find in other restaurants; crispy and nowhere near greasy and filled to capacity. Just one of the main reasons why we eat at Pho Real.
Atmosphere.....don't worry about it, because you'll be too busy eating. The place is very clean and well maintained. Service staff are pleasant and extremely quick at getting orders to the table. Forks are available for the chop sticks challenged. Tea is brought to the table on arrival. Ample parking. Licensed...
Read moreWe ordered from this fabulous restaurant last night night for the first time & we have found a new favourite ❤️
We ordered a variety of dishes, from soups & appetizers to a variety of rice & noodle dishes, both meat & vegetarian dishes & there was no bad dish. Everything tasted fantastic, the portion sizes were excellent for the money (esp with the price of food atm!), & I was really impressed with the soup the most.
Everything was separated in different containers, so I had one big container for my broth & then one bag with my meat & rice noodles & another bag with veggies & aromatics. I was very impressed, this simple touch told me that the person who cooked that meal, wanted me to eat the best dish possible & it was a touch that did not go unnoticed =)
I can honestly say this is the best restaurant I've eaten at in the entire niagara region, bar none. Give these wonderful folks a try & you will not be disappointed. I know we will be lifelong...
