Wing House Penetanguishene — Restaurant in Penetanguishene

I've ordered from Wing House Penetanguishene many times before but today was by far the worst experience I had.

Service from tonight's waitresses on this shift was utterly a mess and created a bad experience for everyone including the cooks. We tried to order via phone but we're left to ring a few times. We tried again and were picked up and immediately hung up on.

Then on after, phone calls proceeded to go directly to answering machine.

We went down in person to order since we couldn't get through on phone. The restaurant had about 3 tables full and two waitresses working. We were seen by a blonde waitress and ordered our take-out. We ordered two chicken souvlaki which usually has the option between fries and rice. She never asked for the options and just gave us fries as default. (Which is what we didn't want) We should've questioned it but I thought I was misremembering if it did come with options or just was only rice.

We waited the 45 mins she told us to wait and came back to an even emptier restaurant. We got our food and asked if they were having issues with their phone where the same waitress said that she turned off the phone and didn't answer because they were "too busy".

We have never had any issues before and the food is always been pretty good, even today most of my family enjoyed the food they ate.

However, this experience with this waitress puts in question if I want to bother going through all this turmoil again. Should my experience at this restaurant and success of getting food we wanted to order depend on if my waitress ends up wanting to do her job correctly? If she's to busy to care enough about taking a proper order or picking up a phone?

She's not busy enough to take the time to turn off the phone however, not busy enough to take our order in person and definitely not busy enough to give us attitude when asking about why we got fries...

We did a take out order and it came to 75.00, and gave the waitress 20.00 tip. (There was confusion with the customer in front of us, and he was told to leave and never come back)Anyway we picked up our order and came home. We live 20 minutes away, when I opened the bag only half the order was there. I called back and they told us to come pick up the rest of the order, I told her we lived to far away to just pop by and get the 3 items that were missing. She took my name and said next time I order they will replace the items. I was ok with that. Well we tried to order last night more wings and to get the 3 items they forgot to give us, they told us on the phone they had no record of the transaction, even tho we explained what happened, so we decided not to order. Since i was in town I decided to drop in and talk to the manager. Well no manager came out to talk to us, so we ended up talking to the waitress, she produced our bill from that night with a note and 20dollars attached, I only wanted the wing house to refund me the money I had paid for my missing items, the 20 dollar tip was for the waitress, the night we originally ordered. They would NOT refund, I ended up leaving the wing house in penetang, with no refund. At the end of the conversation the lady offered to replace the missing items but by that time I had no time left to wait for the food to be cooked. I will never order from there again. My first time there, I ordered the cheese burger with everything on it and extra mayonnaise. When I was served, the burger had only beef and cheese. I told the server that I ordered the burger with everything on it, expecting lettus, tomatoes, onions, pickles, hot peppers, mustard, ketchup and extra mayo. The waitress said it only comes with beef and cheese, that's everything, LOL. I asked her to please bring me lettus, pickles, and a slice of tomato with extra mayo. She did and I added these condiments to my burger, it was a little cold by then but delicious. Thankfully I didn't order onions as well because when I received my bill I was charged 1.45 plus tax for a slice of tomato, 1.45 for a lettus leaf, and 1.45 for a pickle on top of the price of a cheese burger. The food is good, but seriously? I asked the waitress about it, and she said the cook told her to charge this. Not sure where the owners were. I asked her to look at the menu and if I wanted a cheese burger fully loaded what is the price difference? She said a dollar but would not alter my bill. I still tipped her 20 percent, it was not her fault. I will not be back, not because of the money or food, but in principle. They lost a customer and all my family...
