Overall nostalgic from when I was a kid. We were in the area and I wanted to take my spouse there as I spend many summers in Midland area growing up.

We got fish & “chips” and an ice cream after. The fish is actually really good!! I would order just fish next time (I don’t love fish generally) but I would get this again.

The chips were super disappointing. They were essentially undercooked McDonalds fries and they barely give you any, for 24$.

The garlic bread was good but would eliminate that for real Chips (thick cut fries). Not enough tartar sauce either. 1 small container to split between 2 pieces of fish. The coleslaw was delicious as well as the pickle!

They had lots of seating you could sit inside or outside. They even had a dog patio, which was really nice. Tables were clean and some were in the shade some in the sun.

The ice cream was ok, had some freezer burn to it / ice chunks. I got 2 flavours and the top scoop of the second flavour was about a tablespoon big.

Overall I will go back to this place for just the fish and pickles.

Also they did have local food inside like butter tarts which I like seeing that! I will have to go back and try them next time!! They looked delicious!!

Beautiful scenery around the dock with small boats and the...

Came here with my family. Prior to my visit here, the food was decent, the prices were reasonable, and the service was far better than it is now. Currently, the service is lousy and slow as the staff employed are often off-task and lazy, the portions of the food are small, the food quality is nothing like it used to be, and it is tremendously overpriced! Purchased five Gyro meals costing $10.50 each and requested extra tzatiki along with the meal, in addition, purchased a large Fries costing $7.00. When we received our orders, the quantity of meat given in the Gyro meals were reduced/small, the slices of meat were thin, and consistency of the tzatiki was so liquidity, it dripped out as if it was water having poor bitter taste! The box our fries were concealed in appeared to be small, so I made my way to the cashier asking why our large order of fries was small with a response of "a change in their portion sizes", the fries were also soggy and under-salted. In conclusion, payed a whopping $70.00 for a meal which wasn't even filling. Strongly advise you never visit/revisit the 'World Renowned Dock Lunch' as you will pay exorbitant prices for small portioned,...

I still give 5 stars to everything. Even service. This place can get super busy and it deserves it. The memorabilia on the walls is really enjoyable to look at and makes the wait alot easier. Good beer selection and great food. Lots of parking. Boat launch is right here too. Beautiful water. No pictures because I eat the food before I think to take a picture, sorry not sorry.

Older review follows:

Extremely busy place with some of the best gravy I've ever had. I've been coming here for over 30 years so I might be biased but they have a fantastic poutine and lots of interesting memorabilia on the walls. They also have a good gyro, burger, hot dog, etc. In the last few years they added a small bar and now have a great selection of beers. They also have an ice cream place attached. Great prices, great food, service isn't the greatest but their food really does make up for it. They have posted signs telling you that you're gonna wait, good...

Food was good but pricey, especially for the kid's meal - over $9 plus tax for dino nuggets and fries or mac and cheese bites and fries. Although......my 9 year old loved the mac and cheese bites! Milkshakes were good but a little too liquidy.....needed MORE ice cream! Also, my husband was very disappointed that his burger did not come with fries, fortunately the 3 kids had lost of leftovers. Cost over $80 for a family of five!!! We got: banquet burger, large poutine, 1 piece fish and chips, kids dino nuggets, kids mac and cheese bites, battered mushrooms and 3 milkshakes. Definitely NOT worth the price but thought we would support local business. Will not go back more than once a year with those prices. Also, outdoor patio needs some MAJOR work, looks like they tried to do many dseparate disjointed updates over the years but just needs a tear down. Sad that it hasn't had a complete overhaul since I was a kids almost 40 years ago.

I've been coming here for a couple of decades and have always enjoyed the views while eating lunch. More recently the current owners have made some changes. On the positive side, they have their liquor license and provide service to those interested. Unfortunately they have also added bars along the side of the patio overlooking the water. This along with other changes that enclose the patio make it feel a bit more like looking out from a jail cell than the prior patio feel. I do hope they keep up their interest in continuous improvement but get rid of the bars along the seating area overlooking the water. UPDATE: They removed the bars along the side of the patio overlooking the water. Much better!
