Crook & Coffer — Restaurant in Peterborough

We went here because it got 4.7 stars on Google Reviews. I'm struggling to give it one star. My friend and I both had the cheeseburger special with fries. The burger was a hockey puck, and both it and the fries were obviously previously frozen. The burger was dry and extremely overcooked - maybe that's why it took a half hour from when we ordered until they brought the food. We were not given any cutlery.

When the waitress asked if everything was ok, we told her how terrible the food was. She said she'd let them know. Nothing was done. There was no offer to replace the food. When we were given the bill, I asked what they said when she told them how bad our food was. She said they apologized and that it was really busy, but there were only 5 people inside sitting at the bar when we arrived. .

While it wasn't very expensive ($12 each), I resent paying for something so bad. We definitely...

What an amazing gem! John and Kim welcomed us with open arms. We felt as if we were long lasting friends the moment we walked into the pub. The atmosphere was just what my wife and I were after. Great food, great beer, great Live music and like-minded people surrounding us. We soaked it all in. The atmosphere can't be beat for those looking for a truly authentic pub night out. Thanks again for such a memorable experience.

Disappointing. Website shows food and hours of operation to match, yet at 10pm on a Sat night kitchen was closed, and bar was errily empty besides two drunk regulars. I asked why and the owner was defensive and beyond rude and then was telling the drunk regulars something and next thing you know the drunks started calling us names. Yikes, what a...
