Fork It — Restaurant in Peterborough

First time here and the last time. Didn’t mind waiting about 30 minutes for the Classic breakfast as they were extremely busy for a Monday morning around 10 AM. Waitress was friendly, polite and very busy as she was the only waitress taking orders, cashing people out, seating people, delivering food and clearing tables, with the help of a bus boy. Coffee was good and hot and had to ask for a refill. Not the waitress fault as she did come around with coffee and I wasn’t finished my 1st cup yet. Breakfast was cold with the exception of the over easy eggs and everything was very greasy with the exception of the rye toast as I asked for no butter on the side for this simple reason. Bacon fatty and very salty. The worst tasting cold greasy home fries that were nothing but pieces of potato skins with very little potatoes attached. Waitress forgot the baked beans which I asked to take out when paying. The baked beans were hot but nothing great like Busch baked beans. For the wait and full house of the restaurant you think the food would be great and hot. My breakfast was not great and cold except for the eggs and baked beans. Can’t speak for others as there must be a reason for being so busy but I wouldn’t return...

Came to Fork it for the first time and it may be our new “go-to”! The food was delicious, service was fast and friendly and the restaurant was comfortable and not cramped - perfect for bringing in your family.

We enjoyed the Peameal Breakfast and Steak and Eggs and were very happy with both meals. The peameal was delicious and cooked well. The eggs, sourdough and Rye were all perfect.

This is a VERY kid friendly spot - they had booster seats, sippy style cups with straws, smaller plate options and sides. They even have a little treasure box for little diners and I thought that was such a sweet touch! My little one was too little to pick anything out, so I initially declined but they came back with the treasure chest - insisting there would be something for him. Sure enough there was some blowing bubbles we took home and he enjoyed. ♥️

The only drawback is being downtown you mostly have street parking. But it’s really not a big deal. Don’t let that stop you from checking them out! We will...

Waitress seems like she don’t know what she’s doing at first ! She brings the drinks and sets them all down in front of 1 person. A person walked through the door while out order was being taken and they seemed to have more focus on that person then the customer ! So far the place feels sketchy. Coffee is 8/10 ! I ordered the breakfast feast and I give it a 7/10 the potato hash browns wasn’t for me I found them over cooked the eggs was amazing and the meat was good to. Bacon was almost perfect for me ! The ham I’m not a fan of because it reminds me of the stuff you buy for lunch meat. Also the baked beans are good to Very fast service ! The service was so fast I thought I was seeing things when they brought the food over, I swear it felt like 5min.
