The Junction Nightclub — Restaurant in Peterborough

Been going to junction since like 2017 and decided to go back for the first time in a while to witness 2 bouncers having quite possibly the craziest power trip I’ve ever seen. Was thankful to god I got let in considering the group of guys in front of us who looked like they were in their mid 30s got rejected due to the “writing on their drivers license not lining up”. What ever that means, the guy was well over 19 and had to sit out in the rain for like 15 mins cause buddy doesn’t know what an ID looks like. Then my friend I went with was stopped by the other bouncer who brought up a completely different incident from like a year ago playing basketball at the wellness centre which my buddy had literally no clue what he was talking about. Basically told my buddy’s he’s lucky he’s letting him in because of a game of basketball from a year ago the bouncer was still salty about. Have never had issues with bouncers at junction before this but who ever dumb and dumber were that night definitely did not get invited to party’s In high school. Literally watched these two clowns at the window all night picking and choosing who to let in, just crazy how guys like that can ruin a night for no reason. Will be going to the social only...

Went here to celebrate a family members birthday, a guy in our group apparently had an altercation with someone. Security comes up and said I have to go and I asked "why what did I do?" As I just ordered some drinks. Refuses to tell me anything and then pushes me through the crowd. I was not physical what so ever, we go outside and I ask the other security guard what I did wrong, he said he doesn't know. I get to talk to the first guy and he says I was making threaten gestures towards someone, I asked what gestures did I do and to who? He says"I dont need to go over the details' says its my fault everyone is standing out in the cold now. I wasn't intoxicated, I wasn't unorderley, I wasnt rude. I didn't threaten anyone, I still don't know who the guy was. Then the security guard says oh I asked you to leave and instead you kept asking me "why, what did I do" so then I pushed you. I asked for a refund for the drinks I payed for and didn't get, I was denied that. The cameras should show I never even talked to this guy I was apparently threatening. The rest of the staff was reasonable for the most part but that one security shouldn't be assaulting customers like that unprovoked. If I did that in my work I...

I usually love this place and love going here for events and outings with friends. It has great music, drinks and atmosphere. Unfortunately after purchasing a single drink, dancing with my friends, and then quickly excusing myself to go to the bathroom alone; I was followed and questioned by a security guard asking me how much I had consumed (at this time probably around 4 drinks in the span of 5 hours: it was a girl's night out and we had planned to hop around from bar to bar). I was asked to provide details of my itinerary; times and locations (which I provided best I could). Concluding this entrapment-esque interrogation in which the personnel seemed intent on twisting and manipulating my answers to her I was asked to leave and escorted out, but not after gathering my friends. I dont know if it was my embarassing dancing, a power trip from the security guards, or a misidentification on their behalf, but I will not be returning to a once beloved establishment after this humiliating encounter. I am hoping this is a one time occurrence but I guess you have to beware going to the bathroom alone; lest you be singled out...
