Del Crary Park and Marina chosen by fluke turned out to be an pearl in oyster. Actually our trip was planned to Wutai Shan Buddhist temple and garden and just 4 kms beforhand an police and fire deployed had stopped the only route to this temple due to some disruption. This nick of time diversion left us with no choice but seek alternative place of interest nearby and thus reached Del Crary Park. The soothing lakefront lines, green shoulder lines, eye catching maina boats and its anchorages and in the midst of all these pearls stand the water fountain! An visit for 3 to 4 hrs non stop is insufficient to roam around. Music fest in evening, lift lock cruise with prior bookings, stroll to little lake and a walk to Peterborough downtown are qdded bonus. As we walked further an live concert was a show stopper. Still in a few hours a lot could be enjoand witnessed. So better to go here on a planned manner then the once we experienced as an surprise!

I live in Lindsay so I don't frequent Del Crary Park. On the occasion I did visit was for the Musicfest event featuring Honeymoon Suite which was my wife's favorite band. Honestly, the park is beautiful with the marina close by, Little Lake and the water fountain. Although areas like Peterborough have a homeless issue ( they aren't the only ones), this park seems to be monitored and there isn't that issue there. The park is supposed to be smoke and vape free. The one problem I had was parking especially during this event. We got there early to get handicapped parking that were advertised but were told they didn't have handicapped parking at all even though the front parking lot had at least a half dozen empty spots, forcing us to park blocks away. When our concert let out, it was traffic havoc.

Beautiful park downtown in the heart of Peterborough. I live in this city and my wife and I like to take the time to walk through the park at least once a month or so and see the ducks. Duck crossing on main street Peterborough is just normal in this city, beautiful place to live, and great to visit for people that live in the bigger cities that want to escape the hustle. In the summer they have music festival on Wednesday night and Saturday nights. I will post a picture of the list of musicians who are playing this year (2019).

Nice place for a walk or to sit with friends. Over the summer they have bands and the musicfest and fireworks displays. Also two there is a marina there for boats. All year round it is a nice little place to visit. And it has parking which is still free surprisingly. Its situated in the downtown area of Peterborough and ia in a walking distance to other shops and services. Was there this year for the multicultural musicfest and it was pact and they also has some good food vendors there.

Del Crary park is a not so hidden Gem but definitely a Gem!! Peterborough has a great Canadian tradition held in the palm of their hands!! Great free concerts through the summer time that bring family and friends together like no other town in this country!! Keep up the wonderful times created here !! Thank you citizens of Peterborough for your tax dollars well spent!! Your reputation exceeds yourselves!! Thank you so much for sharing with surrounding areas!!

Is very very good! Beautiful and romantic scenery, suitable for a talk 👌 in winter you can also slide on the river so it’s not bad! But it’s quite far away here and there are also some bad people here, people may not do anything to you but it’s best to be careful and should only go here in the morning it’s best not to go in the afternoon and evening, this is my sincere advice and it’s quite okay so still give this place 4 stars ⭐️ will definitely come back 😚
