I don't really like giving bad reviews but this one is needed. On my past visit I had the prosuitto on a baguette toasted. It was flavorless and the bread tasted stale and chewy. I went back today to place an order for my colleagues. I explained my disappointment on my last order. The two women behind the counter were not impressed with the complainant and said I should have told them sooner and not wait. They shall let their distributor know. They don't eat the bread. I simply said, not trying to be mean, just honest. (Right?)
I left with my order and went back to work, (10 min drive away), and heard disappointment from my colleagues. The meat was like leather and the peppers were not hot(spicy) at all on the one. They said it was the worst veal on a bun they have had. Oh my Lord, I thought, wth?!?
So I called to express the disappointment after I just told them about my experience last time. I was told that she hasn't had any complaints about the veal today at all...I said, well I have and I'm letting you know, it's bad. She responded, she will let the owner know. WTH? Seriously that's your response! Wow!
No empathy to how people were not happy with what they paid for. This place is not cheap. They spent 30.98 on 2 sandwiches. I felt they dismissed me as a person and that I was not being truthful to my complaint. No information was taken or a call back. We are all Italian, we know Italian food, especially veal on a bun with peppers. I worked in restaurants in the past, for over Three decades, not once would I dismiss a food complaint. I take it seriously and I was always empathetic to rectify the problem. This was a huge disappointment.
You shouldn't own or work at a food establishment if you don't try or eat the food. You should know your food. You should never dismiss a complaint even if it hurts your ego. Complaints are justified and should always be taken into consideration, investigated and rectified. If you can't handle the criticism then you are in the...
Read moreBeen coming here for years with my family used to love their gelato and recommended it to other ppl. The staff used to be very friendly as well, but went in a couple of mins ago 8:40 (June 7, 2024) and it was a disaster. All these years we’ve been getting 2 flavours in a small and 2-3 in a medium and the guy said we can only get one flavour in a small and 2 in a medium, as we are talking to the guy, the girl who was working here, who I’ve never seen before was mopping the floor and starts snapping and says its only 1 now we changed it a few months ago and she was so rude and showed so much attitude. The guy was the one who was serving us, and we would have spoken to him, bought the gelato and left, it was not her place to be speaking there, let alone arguing. At the end she was screaming and shouting. This is ridiculous, unbelievable. So sad that our fav gelato place has turned into a disaster, hopefully they fix the issue and get...
Read moreWe stopped in here on a Saturday for lunch. It's an Italian cafe. They have pastries, gelato, cappuccino, lattes and sandwiches. We ordered the roast beef and onions for $9.49 and $9.49 for the ham and cheese on a panini. We ended up with the steakette with onions for $13.99. I told the server when she asked afterwards how was our food that we ordered the roast beef and onions not the steakette and onions and she said that they ran out of roast beef. Well she should have told us that instead of substituting us for the more expensive sandwich which was tough as boot leather and it needed a sauce My ham and cheese had a few slices of ham and a few pieces of lettuces. There was not much on it. We ordered the small gelato for $5.85. Mine was Key line pie and my husband's was the peanut butter and chocolate. The gelato was good. That's why I didn't...
