I visited here with my daughter on a Saturday morning. I am a regular here (like I go there about once a month with my daughter). In my last visit, I was given a table but did not get the menu card for almost 20-25 mins. After patiently waiting for so long, I eventually had to call someone to let them know that we actually exist. A few passing by waiters did see us sitting but never really came over to serve us. They were busier than normal, but I saw three tables getting filled after we came and they were handed the menu and served as soon as they sat on their respective tables. When I asked for a reason, they said our table accidentally did not get assigned to anyone. I kind of accepted what they said, but their service after this point was mediocre too (for instance - I had to ask for cutlery, milk for coffee, coffee refill, maple syrup, crayons that they usually give to kids to colour, etc). It all felt like they weren’t interested in serving us. I have been to restaurants at busy times and even though slow service is acceptable, lack of intent and care is something that I experienced here. My daughter is 6 year old, but she felt the difference too as she has been to this place with me many times before. I like their food a lot. Our order consisted of four famous hamburgers with french fries and onion rings that were amazing totaling $9365. Unfortunately, when we arrived home and sat down to eat, we found the hamburgers to be excessively dry, resulting in a thoroughly disappointing experience. It is clear that we should have scrutinized our takeout order more thoroughly before departing the store. Although we will exercise greater caution in the future, we will not be patronizing this Wimpys location again. The next day, I notified the corporate office of our experience and subsequently contacted the store to request a conversation with the manager. Regrettably, I am still awaiting a response. Today, I called again to speak with the manager, who informed me that the burger manager declined to address our concerns due to my initial contact with the corporate office. Edit: There indeed is mention of home fries on all the other Benedicts except this one. However because of the bottom print on substitution I took it as a given. Revising my rating up to 4 which is reflective of the quality and taste of food. I just wish menus didn’t have fine print!
Ordered a chicken-eggs-waffle Benedict but they forgot the home-fries despite the Benedict section, which this order was a part of, mentioning home fries can be upgraded to salad. Instead of rectifying the order and getting me the home fries the waitress very conveniently asserted that my particular Benedict wouldn’t come with home fries, while the rest of the benedicts would, and that I could ‘order’ one.
